Alternative straps for the Tudor Pelagos?

I like everything about the Tudor Pelagos except the bracelet and rubber strap.

The metal bracelet does not mircro adjust for my wrist size efficiently enough and the clasp spring is too stiff to offer functionality. Does Rolex offer a half link for the pelagos bracelet? That might help.

The rubber strap is too hard and stiff compared to other brands and it hurts my wrist. Can anyone recommend somethihing aftermarket that is more supple like an AP strap feel? Cost does not matter.

Really just looking for a good way to increase wrist comfort on the pelagos as this is the only thing preventing me attempting long term enjoyment.

I am not interested in straps that are not water resistant.

I wear mine exclusively on a $10 NATO strap. Very comfortable, utilitarian, and dries quickly

Josh,

May I suggest a Bonetto Cinturini rubber nato. Amazingly comfortable, comes in a variety of colors and hardware finishes.

Sorry to hear that. I dont have the issue but what is your wrist size?

The strap and rubber do loosen up over time. Have you tried leaving the rubber strap tightly secured over a pillow for a few weeks?

I agree. I never warmed up to the supplied rubber. I mostly didn’t like the look of the integrated end links though.

Crafter Blue came out with a Pelagos strap a month ago or so. I like mine, but I’m back on the bracelet for now.

That's disappointing to hear that the rubber strap is disliked by so many. I have been eyeing the Pelagos, and the blue rubber strap is partly why.

Good suggestion but I have not found a nato strap that I like the look of on the pelagos yet. For some reason I find they look better on watches with a high polish vs the brushed look of the pelagos.

6.75. Good suggestion with the pillow. I have never tried that. Those rubber straps are so very stiff new.

That looks very nice. Are the isofrane straps soft?

Yes, they are perfectly pliable but not floppy. They have a great feel and don’t attract lint like some cheaper straps. I have 10 of them, they are solid. Get the RS buckle... I wish they made a dark gray color

Having owned rubber b and Everest straps and now the crafter blue I would recommend it for the Pelagos .

I like the Pelagos metal strap personally. Nato straps works for many too.

Couldn’t agree more with the Isofrane recommendation - it’s the perfect alternative to the OEM rubber strap.

+1 for Crafter Blue, IMHO better than the supplied rubber strap, especially if you have a larger wrist diameter.

I picked up a few Natos from BluShark. Great feel and super high quality. The grey looks particularly good with the titanium case

Borealis isofrane knock-off, one of my go-to summertime combos - definitely worth a look for under $30, highly recommend

Love the blue/orange combo! Perfect summer pairing. If we had the audacity to go with a soft drink nickname it would be the “Sunkist”! But I wouldn’t dare! Lol

Any new offerings for the Pelagos? Curious if Rubber B or Everest have any recent options for the Pelagos (or any other major rubber band manufacturer)

Everest Rubber Strap for Tudor apelable

Just wanted to share this with all. You can easily adapt the Everest rubber strap made for the Tudor Black Bay to the Pelagos since the measurements are almost identical. All you need is to purchase curved en spring bars 23mm long and 1.5mm in diameter. I say 23mm because once they are bend you loose about a 1mm in length and you want it to fit long enough on both sides so that the strap does not come out on impact. 1.5mm because you have room to play around finding the holes, just don’t get the cheap spring bars. Amazon sells a spring bar bending tool, pliers. The latter in case you want to purchase straight spring bars and bend them your self to your liking, I did that. The final result, perfect fit.

I really like the metal bracelet on my Pelagos, but I agree that mine needs a 1/2 link on the 6:00 side. Does anyone know if 1/2 links are available?

I don’t think they exist. The same happened to me (add full link and too loose even on the micro clasp shorter setting, remove a full link and a bit too adjusted for my taste).

What I did with mine was to put the clasp on the divers setting / spring setting (position after the largest micro setting) so that it basically can stretch a little by itself as needed and worked out great!

If you like these kind of straps, they are amazing.

https://erikasoriginals.com/

I like these way more than Natos now as they stretch with my wrist.

My Erika started to dethread after less than a year of usage. They look fantastic, but not sure about the quality.

Here's mine photographed about a year ago.
