not that I have a ROC, but I'd wait and replace it with the new ROC with inhouse chrono. And I can't wait!

For a blue dial 15500? I’d consider that. No way for silver or black.

I would (for a blue only) but I prefer non-chronos overall. So a bit biased.

I'd keep the ROC unless you are planning a ROO next.

I would never pay the market rate for a 15500 blue dial as it is not worth it to me. But ultimately the question is which do you prefer. Are you willing to pay the delta for the 15500?

I would but I don’t think it’s a no brainer. Both quite nice!

Depends on what ROC, 39mm no way, 41mm maybe.

It's a question I've considered myself. I wouldn't trade a blue-dial 26331 for any 15500 except for the blue-dial. Beyond that, here were my considerations:
1) The bottom half of the 15500 seems a bit plain to me. The sub-dials on the 26331 were a nice way to break that up. However, the blue-dial, which is a real selling point, can shine more easily without them. 2) In-house vs. not in-house. It isn't a big deal for me either way, as the 26331's movement is tried, tested, and true. But in-house is in-house. 3) Transparent caseback on the 15500. I like seeing the movement. In summary, the 15500 is probably a better example of true "haute horology", but the chronograph is sportier and more in the vein of a tool watch. It's close, but I'll probably just enjoy what I have for a few years.

If it’s a blue ROC, then I would keep it. It’s an awesome piece.

Thanks guys for all your inputs - some very good points to consider.
I'm gonna see it today and decide once I've done the live comparison. |
