It is so scary to wear my Rolex in NYC subways!

So to be safe, I wear my Patek 3970P and 3970J.

What about you guys? Which part of your city or which country makes you feel unsafe wearing your Rolex?

I only wear my minute repeater. No one knows what that is. I agree with you VC. Quick question, do you wear your Rolex in a pool. I am still debating.

Good call. Plus you can use the minute repeater function to chime when the subway arrives.

I don't know if I can wear my Rolex in a pool. I think you need a DSSD for that. But I'm not sure, better be safe and just wear a Patek World Time when you go into the water.

I would be more worried about my life more than any bloody watch if I thought it was unsafe to wear a watch or anything valuable in any city in the world.

Subway??? Obviously your Patek and Vehicle is not in balance!!!

Besides, don't all Patek owners commute to work in a private jet or at least their own Pullman Rail Car while their teenage sons are sculling on their artificial lakes stocked with bountiful fish and their wives are teaching their daughters how to sketch with $50 pencils?

AYEEEEE!!! First of all FG!!! You should know better that it is never safe to wear a Rolex on the Subway! I opt for a Tudor or a small toy watch from Patek when engaging in such activities...

In terms of the question asking is it safe to wear your Rolex in a pool! Blasphemy! It is not! I got my GMT wet and now it's ruined! I am hearing a 7 month turn around!

Only time when it's safe to wear a Rolex... Hmm... Almost never.

Yes, it is a shame that my Watch and Vehicle is Not In Balance (caps required).

I am also embarrassed to admit that I sometimes wonder if my Watch and Shoes are Not in Balance.

Also, FG!

BWAHAHAHA FremStar what a WINNING TIGER BLOOD post.

Yes, I agree that it is probably safest to wear your toy watch from Patek when taking the subway, swimming, and engaging in mixed martial arts like you do twice a day. P.S. FG.

We all know that Rolex watches are more recognized by muggers on NYC subways than PP perpetual chrono watches, LOL!

However a PP AD told me stories of their customers wearing their 5270s in the subway system in Europe. As with any part of the world, it can be extremely safe to fairly unsafe, depending on which city/country you live in.

I'm not quite sure about that, have you tried to buy a Subway lately? Those trains are pretty darn expensive...

Does your watch depend on the station you're heading to?

Despite all the tongue in cheek posts here, I have yet to find a subway system in the world (and I make it a point to take the subway at least once in every city I've been to) where it has been unsafe to wear this baby:

The only time I felt like someone was trying to steal from me occurred twice in Paris. Once on the crowded metro where it felt like another passenger was reaching into my pocket, I quickly put my hand down and the hand moved away. Could've been any of the 7 people around me. Similar thing happened on the crowded elevator on the eiffel tower.
