Blue...Classic Patek. Of course I went with 5980R! If I didn't own 5980R and 5711 blue dial I would have gone with 5980 blue. At the end of the day go with one you prefer as taste totally subjective and doesn't really matter what we like. Best of luck and they are fantastic watches! Cheers,

I went for black as I wanted the red chrono hand and also thought the black date wheel looked better. I also plan on getting a 5711 at some point so wanted a bit of variation in dial colour. However I would have been happy with the blue or even the white.

Blue. As has been said before, the dial changes color depending on angle and light (which I found to be more interesting). Good luck...you really can't go wrong with any variation of the 5980 in my opinion! :)

I like the black better but the blue is great too. I guess that's no help.

Black for the red chrono hand, black date disk, and goes-with-anything versatility. Blue is just too magical for me.

Both are great! I went for the black because I also had the 5711 at the time.

I like blue but the white date wheel bothers me. At least now they improve on the grey dial version.

x3 or 4...whatever. Blue is just classic for PP and their blue dials are just special IMHO. No wrong choice to be honest!

Tough decision. The black dial also looks amazing. I would probably end up getting the black dial because I have a 15202. I like the blue dial more in the 5711 and 5712. Again, very close call.

Good luck!!!

I prefer the black dial with black datewheel. It's a more sporty look...though the blue is pretty stunning too.
