if you have or ordered an enamel dial worldtimer
how long did it take before you got it, or if you are still waiting for one, how long are you waiting?
or what did your AD tell you |

I am sure I am being stupid, but the poll isn't clear, if you received one within a year, or you placed an order for one within a year and haven't yet received one, then you tick the same box but the information is irrelevant if you are in the second category as you haven't received one yet and may not get one for another 5 years........

I only wanted to know how long you waited if you have one. I got a PM from a member telling me that only real high end buyers owning several grande complications like repeaters , are the only people to get a 5131. In fact I almost can't afford a 5131 so forget about the grande complications If some of you have a 5131, do you indeed own several other Patek grande complications. Or did you buy secondhand with a huge premium? |

Quite simple
I think the most important factor is a good relationship
with your AD who represents you to Patek. If the AD pushes for you, thee is a good chance you'll get it. Perhaps I'm not typical but I have a few Pateks the most complicated being 5140, and I did get approved through the application process for 5131G. It took 18 months but relatively straightforward. Best of luck. |

You do not need to have any really big pieces (although of course it helps), it is all about the relationship. Any pieces you do have though should be registered with him.

My AD said I have no chance at one. Sad, because I have a good relationship with them and their parent. n:

I was told most AD NEVER get such a piece so how can they give it to their clients. Most AD probably have 10 or 20 or 30 clients that would like a 5131. btw, how many 5131 do they make per year? Some say 40, others 100 |

AD relationship
Is paramount with some high value purchases made with them. That is my experience.

I know a few local tycoons who own 5131, they paid full premium. They are heavily into MB&F and other exotic brands thus I think the premium is not really a concern. Life too short to wait when you can afford it. If I love the 5131 enough, I too might just do it too but luckily i am not (thanks heaven!!)
