2019 c63 AMG Mercedes Benz Grill Design

Just saw these pics on an ad - this new grill design looks pretty ugly to me. What do you guys think..?

I understand they're trying to do something different but it doesn't seem to go in harmony with the lines of the car.

I prefer the horizontal grill of past generations.

Not a fan of it either on the C. Single horizontal bar for sure. Trying to make it look more aggressive but made it ugly while doing so. Looks better on the AMG coupe. All their vehicles are starting to look the same. Life long MB'er here but lately I have been turned off by some of their offerings.

I think it looks better than the previous model.

This, I like it, wish it was something I had the money to worry about!

Lovely cars.

I prefer the new one to the floating star old one.
Mine has multiple horizontal bars. Looks better than the one above to my eyes.

2019 c63 AMG Mercedes Benz Grill Design

I like my 2018 43 grill better. Can’t argue with the performance though. Great all around car imo.

Looks like the new trend. BMW is also going with “bolder” grills.

Love the old one too. My GTS had it.

Something about the new one just does it for me tho.

I like the old design because it’s a throwback to classic MB design

Along with the Ferrari F40, the MB 300sl is probably the greatest car design of all time. JMO.

Ya, the GLC 63 has the new one. It will work. Still tops on the list for next ride. Unless something comes out in the next year to knock it off. I do hope they update the GLC with the GLE tech though. THe new MBUX set up is really awesome. They still have not released the GLE in AMG trim so do not know what that will look like. They did finally add seat bottom extender to the E line!!!

It's the new grill for AMG specific models going forward. Taken from AMG GT. It's the new panamericana grill and I think it looks badass. The lower end models are still going with the old design you like op but if it's AMG, then you get this.

In all fairness, you chose the crappiest color car to show the grill on. Let's see if I can help...

I ended up in a 2019 c43 because I needed all wheel drive and wish I could have gotten this grill design. I do prefer it

The trend I'm seeing in grills looking like "cow catchers" that were used on the front of trains to throw cattle off the tracks.

Lots of new cars now have them.

I prefer the new grill on the AMG GT models and the AMG SUV's (excluding G wagon) over the old style grill. Not sold on the C63 though.

I think it’s a matter of cooor schemes and I will say I prefer it on the coupe over the sedan

You can always change the grill, as aftermarket grill. So many options I’m sure.

I like the Panamerica grille. You could always swap it out if you want the 2019. Aftermarket grilles are dirt cheap and fit well from what I’ve read on the MB forums.

Here are some more appealing angles. The last one is the new GT 4 door which sort of set the new grill thing in motion from the GT coupe.

It's an easy and inexpensive mod to throw the old one on if you like, so not a deal breaker imo if you really like this vehicle.

Not if you have surround view and disstronic. Heard nothing but horror stories about fit

Definitely the trend. I saw a new Acura RLX today & did a double-take on the car because I thought the grille was aftermarket. It is like a salad plate glued to the front!

That matte black on the coupe is so sexy. I’m very scared of that paint choice tho can only imagine how much of a pain upkeep is

Mercedes is doing this on most of their models now.....I believe the G wagon already has this grille, the AMG GT, obviously the C....and I am sure more models will be getting this as we go. I think it looks good actually.

This isn't anywhere near as gaudy as the illuminated star emblem on some of the models. Yuck.
