As long as we are talking about series finales, how about the Big Bang Theory?

Not even sure if there are any BBT fans here on TRF, a mild one myself at best, but since the GOT finale got so much attention, what did everyone think of the Big Bang finale?

I used to watch TBBT a lot, but have not kept up with the past 3-4 seasons. The show just got stale for me and I didn’t care to keep up. Even the best shows have a shelf life. Keep them going too long and they become boring (e.g., The Simpson’s)

They crammed too many plot endings into a single final hour. Even though people wanted to see these plot ends, it seems like they rushed the ending.

Not on until tomorrow here but this is one series that has gone on waaay too long, and purely a cash cow for the cast and producers.

BBT ran out of new material years ago.. Sopranos are, by far, the biggest BAD finale in TV history

I was a fan of TBBT for years, but I thought it was no longer funny for the last three to four years. It became "Friends" and the episodes relied much to heavily on the marital relationships of the main characters. The idea that Sheldon and Amy could win a Nobel prize working on a theory for a year in their spare time is laughable. TBBT should have ended years ago.

Most endings suck. That’s why it ended.

Thought it was predictable so that makes it not so good for me.

I lost interest in the series a couple of years ago. The weirdness of the characters grew old.
But...
The finale was one of the best i have ever seen. Sheldon seems to have had an epiphany, and the patience his friends displayed for years may have paid off. I found it positive and satisfying.

I thought a good ending would be Professor Proton waking up in bed with his wife Emily, claiming he'd just had the weirdest dream.

I actually liked the finale to the Sopranos. Its impact can't be denied, people are still talking about it today.

That would have been awesome. The "Newhart" final episode remains perhaps the best finale ever.

True story. In fact it lead to Journeys second wind and why you hear that song at every wedding since.

Probably the best and most emotional finale I can remember. Watching the characters say goodbye to each other was tough.

There has been some good endings and bad ones. My all time fav was the ending to Six Feet Under.

I kind of liked the ending. It was touching to see Sheldon finally apologizing for being annoying a f***.

That would've been hysterical. I did enjoy the show and the ending.

The ending was pretty moving, but it still felt hollow, after all Sheldons growth, he was written to act like an a?s in the final and then apologized... It seems like it should have been more...

Very true! I love(d) The Sopranos. I am looking forward to the upcoming movie "The Many Saints of Newark," which is a bit of a prequel. But, talk about bad show endings: How I Met Your Mother was painfully stretched-out. The stretched the ending over the entire final season!
