Zenith Estate sale watches
I've taken a gamble and acquired x2 of the same Zenith watch, it looks like the previous owner had x1 as daily wear and the other for best, I'm looking for more information in regards to the model, at a guess I'd date the watches circa 1970's please advise if you know any different.

I know absolutely nothing about these, but I would guess that they are older than 1970's. They look more like early 1960's style to me.
In any event, they're beauties! I look forward to somebody here putting down some knowledge for us. |

Hi there, I wasn't sure either and would welcome more knowledge, if all else fails I have an antiques fair to attend on Sunday where there's a watch dealer who may be able to shed some light on them,

The Movement
Ive attached some photos of the movement, and now believed to be from the mid 1960's, the calibre is 2562 by Movado, I'm currently on the hunt for a case back as this one has an inscription on it.
For those who don't know, the Movado Watch Company was a long time partner with Zenith Watches (now a very highly respected company) about half a century ago, to try to create the world's first automatic chronograph movement. Movado created its own movements, and many Zenith movements were used in Movado watches thanks to the collaboration between the two companies. Today, Movado draws almost all of its designs upon the Museum dial, and most watches are powered by run of the mill quartz movements, and the occasional ETA automatic..

Beautiful watches,I love the dials!!! I'd get them both serviced and lose those bracelets. Put one on a black strap, and one on a brown, you'll be good to go whatever you're wearing.

I will be looking to keep just one and move the other one on as I have a vintage Emperor and this will sit nicely along side it,
