Caliber 15xx serviceability moving forward?
I have an air king 5500 with a 17j cal 1520. Been debating on selling it and getting a more modern reference, perhaps the AK 14000 or anything else with a cal 30xx or 31xx
What are you guys’s thoughts about the serviceability of the 15xx movements going forward? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There are millions of 1520/1530 movements on the planet and plenty of spares.
Unlike an A260 or A296 parts should last our lifetime. |

I don't think there is anything to be concerned about - popular movement which Rolex are still happy to service.

A 1570 was last used new in a 1016 EXI in 1989. Practically last week in Rolex terms. :)

Parts are out there... but if you want new parts that are unopened from the factory you should know that some of them are getting harder to come by. Especially for the 15xx cal movements.
