Rolex 1005 date???
Hi Forum Members!
I would like to hear from any of my vintage guys if the Rolex 1005 came with a date option. I haven’t seen this before. From my understanding it’s the 1500 that came with the date. |

The 1005 was a non-date option. Because the same case was used for multiple models, sometimes you will see casebacks interchanged with other model numbers stamped in them.
If the case is stamped 1005 between the lugs and there is a date movement in the case, then it is a frankenwatch.
