Czapek Quai des Bergues

I am seriously considering the Czapek Quai des Bergues as my next addition. Unfortunately, due to limited scale of operations, there is no authorized dealer where I am located. I would like to see one in the metal to decided which colour dial I would ultimately buy along with the size (42.5 vs 38.5).

Anyone from TRF own a Czapek? I'd like to hear from you and get your thoughts on the buying process and the ownership experience.

Even if anyone here has one, given the cost, you’re just going to have to make the effort and take a trip to the nearest place that has one for you to see and try on.
Only then, will you truly know which version/size suits you best.

I’ve known about this brand since it first appeared, but I still remain unconvinced by the power reserve indicator – numbers, not days, makes the most sense.
I suppose, and it’s a big stretch, that if you sync’d it on winding, then it could indicate the day of the week, but most of us don’t forget that, the date is more likely – so it’s still not particularly useful, and therefore only serves to confuse.

I'm not sold on this concept either. Essentially for you to have full power reserve you need to wind the watch only on a Sunday.

It was however a smart way to double up power and day indicator without adding unnecessary additional wheels etc to the movement. And I do like the two sub-dials.

I've had it on the wrist, and was more impressed in the metal actually than in the pictures. It was the smaller size, my preference. Nice case construction, and a number of different finishes on the case add more interest.
