Is the speedmaster professional Hesalite really discontinued???

I noticed a significant reduction in the “for sale” Hesalite professional speedmasters with only 9 available in Ch24, and over 6000 submariners!!

Two ADs confirmed its getting discontinued but that’s when I was buying mine earlier this month and honestly I thought they were trying to get me to bite!
My local AD doesn’t even have it on display. He had two in the back, I bought one of them!

Anyone heard anything?

It's just being updated with the 3861 movement.

Omega boutique in London told me two or three days ago that they have not heard anything about any changes, either mechanically or regarding availability, to the Moonwatch range.

Didn’t you ask this question a few days ago on another thread you started?

Yes I did when I was asking for people’s help as I was choosing which one to get then today I got a text from my AD telling me he’s heard that again from his omega rep. I usually take whatever ADs will tell me with a grain of salt and that’s why I was checking of folks are hearing the same thing or is it just one AD!

I’ve heard it from an Omega rep and there was also a thread on this a month or so ago.

I think it might be Doc

I checked DavidSW today for one and he doesn’t have any in stock, and he usually does

So maybe it’ll be discontinued?

Or maybe the people that think it’ll be discontinued are buying them up

Went in to the Omega store (AD not boutique) yesterday to pick up my Seamaster (service) and asked to look at the moonwatch - they had 1 in stock (hesalite). I was told they had asked for more but simply cant get them. The SA strongly believes they will be updating the movement and price and that is the reason for lack of availability.

No movement on the price either as it is an 'in demand' piece.

Although the above could have been a sales tactic to purchase!

3861 and a (likely) bump in price from what I’ve heard. No way it’s being discontinued in full.

Same on my AD, they receive only one per time and it vanishes quickly only after they can order another one.
I asked why don’t order more once and they said they asked but this is what Omega is given to them.
When I bought mine there was a week gap on my visit and the day they received so basically they had in display all the AT / PO / 300 / Globemaster but no Speedy Pro Moon to be shown. (They had one Speedmaster DSM)

They didn’t told me anything about Omega replacing the model just that the Speedy is in high demand and sells quickly

If they’re updating the movement, I hope they update the bracelet while they’re at it.

There is absolutely no way Omega would discontinue a watch that made them a ton of money through the years and still continues to do so.

They will probably update the movement (3861) and hopefully adding an adjustable bracelet as well.

I wonder if the 3861-Speedmaster will be NASA certified and, if not, how that will affect things.

Stop spreading nonsense, the Speedy Pro Hesalite will never be discontinued, nor will it be modified.

It’s a model with a history of being modified (321, 861 to 1861 movements plus a whole host of historic bracelet changes) so it’s a bit daft to say it will never be discontinued or modified.

Given recent releases there’s every reason to believe Omega might try and raise the bar higher with an all new speedie. I think it’s highly logical to assume the 3861 will replace the 1861 and that they will make some minor aesthetic changes. Both of these would allow them to push up the price, which I believe Omega would be desperate to do.

All speculation, but to just dismiss any potential changes would be wrong imo.
