A quick sample of the pens on my desk...

Evidently, 32lbs Crane & Co. paper is not the best for trying fountain pens. It is rough paper, nothing like Clairefontaine.

The smoothest nib on that paper, as on all others, is the Dupont. Second, the modified Pelikan with Fine stub nib. Last, and pretty bad at that, the Sailor.

Cool!! Writing samples We need more of this action here. My penmanship is horrible though. I don't want to turn everyone's monitors to stone Also I'm a big fan of Clairefontaine paper these days too. Even with super wet pens, I get no bleed through. Shimmering inks look nice on it as well. I put down some heavy Diamine golden sands tonight with a springy medium nib Omas and it looks like I'm writing in 24kt ink!

Be brave...! My penmanship doesn't even deserve the name. Go ahead and just scribble something......!
