Watch looks to certainly be unpolished and most definitely real.....one hell of a deal congrats...and I thought I got my 5512 for a crazy deal....this is unheard of....although Jason got his 1665 for an unheard of deal as well....just goes to show you that the deal of a lifetime IS in fact out there still....just have to search a little for it, that's all.....again, well done and enjoy that beauty !!

That's just a WOW deal, invest some money in this and keep it original with no polishing, some polywatch, a good service and a tan vintage Bulang and that would look outstanding.

They want to do a service on it.

Including replacing the crown and tube, new crystal and new bezel dot.

I am thinking that the new crystal and new bezel dot are a NO NO.

Curious on opinions though. Especially on the bezel dot.

Do the service, crystal replacement is up to you. If you ever plan to wear it in water then replace it, if not then just get the current crystal polished. If you can find a vintage tritium pearl then maybe replace it otherwise just leave it empty. Look for a 93150 bracelet and you're still way, way, way ahead price wise. Awesome purchase.

Thank you for your thoughts.

I have already purchased a 93150 for it...premature I know.

I will quiz them on what kind of a pearl they are talking about.
I do not plan on wearing any of these. Keeping them for my girls.

I took my 5513 in to get authenticated as well, it is also real, I would have been mighty upset if that one wasn't. ha

If they're just going to stick a new luminova pearl in there then definitely pass on that. Since you are not planning to wear it at all I would attempt to polish the original crystal and keep it. I think you'll be very happy with the results.

Yep, for some reason people think that old beat up Subs are worth a bazillion dollars. If it were being sold here the asking price would be 12K and the description would read
"Vintage Rolex Sub, mint condition, never polished, my loss is your gain....yadda yadda yadda".
