A signed one, great idea. I didn't even think about going straight to the source. Probably cutting out amazon fees and such. More to the author!

Fairly new to the forum and stumbled on this thread - maybe the best one I've seen on here. Don't have much time at the moment to go through 53 pages, but will definitely at some point come back & go through your expedition photos. Awesome.

I had a friend asking about if they made Rolex for Arctic duty; I wasn't in a position to show him this thread but I told him about it.

Without reading all the pages, did the OP ever post the photos of his complete collection?

Impossible to answer this question. You have to read it. It's worth it.

I recommend you read through the entire thread. If it takes you a week it’s worth it. This is one of the best threads on TRF and the story of one of the most adventurous of us here as well. Do yourself a favor and set an hour aside to read the whole thing, you won’t be disappointed. Sorry for the post above that says deleted. I quoted the wrong person and could not fix it.

Yes, there are pics, as others have said it’s more than worth the time to read the entire thread. Epic.

The thread went from troll accusations to adoration and tragedy. If it's too much for you to read it's unfortunate!

I stopped at page 13, they started to use first names, etc. There is so much adoration for the OP, it’s borderline embarrassing.

I guess jamesbond007 says it all?

This is the best thread I've read on the Rolex Forums. There's a human with a story in here, and I think that is so often missed in the mass-consumerism that is also present on these boards. A post like this reminds me of watchuseek, and I'm so glad there are people with interesting tales still to be found here.

Thank you for all your sharing Steve!

Just finished this powerful narrative about loss and the expedition that is our life.

Highly recommend it.

As I’ve posted previously to those who are reading Steve’s book, please take your time and slowly digest it. It’s not nor should it be a quick read.

I agree 100%

Took me a couple of weeks to read it.

Didn’t want to rush through it.

Just finished Steve's book. Very moving and informative of the tragedy that engulfed hlm and his journey out of despair. As cop414 mentioned, it rewards careful and thoughtful reading.
Also as said above, it is beautifully written and if I didn't know better would have said a professional ghost writer had been employed, obviously another career beckons as a writer in addition to his other talents.
All the best Steve.

PS. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
