What Speedy (not Pro or FOIS)

If you were to pick any Speedmaster that isn’t the moonwatch or FOIS, what are you choosing and why?

Speedie Trilogy would be my preferred non FOIS or Pro.

I think the Grey Side of the Moon is what I would choose. I would choose it because the ceramic case is beautiful and tough, the Platinum dial is unique, and Caliber 9900 is an incredible movement.

+1 If we can't go manual wind, then I'd go Racing.

Speedmaster Mk II probably. In many respects a better watch than the Mk 1. Designed for sapphire from the outset, clean lines, and good value. The only downsides are the thickness, and the fact that the original dial is more legible.

If I could run to it, probably the ‘57, possibly in blue. A stunning watch in every respect, one of the best that Omega are producing at the mo, and still relatively rare in the wild.

I like many things about the Dark Side of the Moon, but the silver hands on the sub dials reduce legibility considerably, and a watch of that price needs to be perfect! But the first time I saw one of these “in the flesh” the quality blew me away. Pictures don’t do it justice. The “Grey Side of the Moon” solves the legibility issues, but I prefer the look of the Dark!

The 321? A watch for the enthusiast? For sure. Expensive? That too. Would I like one? Ohhh yes! And despite the fact that I probably will never own one, I’m glad that omega care enough about their enthusiasts to offer them what they want.

I chose the FOIS, smaller case and sapphire face really sold it for me

I went with the coaxial moonphase. Total premium materials, beautiful sunburst dial, super comfortable strap, and that little moon.....

I saw this watch at my local dealer, not long after it was released.

The quality, and level of detail, was frankly outstanding.

Have you looked at the moon phase indicator under a Loupe? If it was ten times the size it would still be a detailed map!

I haven't but I have seen some macro shots of it and it's pretty amazing. Love that they put Buzz's footprint on there too! Cool Easter egg. Here's a cell phone picture I took where you can see it pretty easily.
