Sell 16610 to acquire126610LN
Does anyone have any comparison wrist shots of a 16610 versus 126610? Any pics much appreciated, others who have also made a similar decision / or have both models - what do you prefer? Thanks.

Sell 16610 to acquire126610LN
Having owned all 3 references I personally love the new 12 series. Its not that much bigger than the 11s and you cannot tell at all on the wrist BUT the feel of the case/bracelet is nicer, to me, than the 11.
The 16610 I deeply regret selling because of the faded bezel and just the overall look of it when I had it but comparing it to the new 126610, Im glad I have the newer sub. It has everything I want such as the engraved rahaut, glidelock bracelet etc.. and the weight is really nice as well. Below are the few pics of all 3 references but as stated, Im in love with the 126610. I know Im not much of a help but regardless if you end up selling the 16110 for the 126610 or keeping it, you wont have a wrong choice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would need both, I'm happy to skip the 116610 but the 5 digit and the 126 Subs are both amazing.

I would go for the new one, list of improvements over the 5 digits is endless

Will the new subs' hand and markers patina over time or are the new materials so advanced that they'll just stay clean and white forever?

I have a 16610 and I would never swap it for a 126610. The 16610 is a classic beauty!

I would also take into account the condition of your 16610. If it is in super condition it might be very expensive to buy back into another one down the road, and harder to find. That said, if I had to pick one black sub date I would go with the 12 series.

the new references are improved and more prestigious but I could not live without at least (only one) a 5-digit (14060 16610 16600)

Have considered doing that upgrade based on the latest high prices on the 16610, you can almost buy a new 126610 (at retail) for the same money

To the OP, I have both these references and had the prior one as well. The youtube video is very in depth but I'll share my perspective. I know many will disagree and it's very individual but the 5 digit Subs and GMT's that I own, I wear all day and often every day for months. The six digits seem as you'd expect, 'better' as I think most would agree they are..But to me, they are more jewelry-like and the thickness and weight difference just make me reach for the 5 digits for daily wear..For weekends, going out and to be more aware of the watch, I wear the six digits. That being said, I wonder what I'd choose if I didn't have my past experience.. Could be the six digit to be completely honest..Just with over 20 years wearing the five digits, it's as much what I am more used to and comfortable with. oh, and what he said

My brother has a 16610 and we were able to pick up a 124060 as well. While the 16610 is a classic and a great watch, I prefer the weight of the 124060. The bracelet on the 16610 feels a little "cheap" to me.

Not Sub Dates but I owned a 14060M for 8 years before I got my 124060 about 7 months ago. I had both for about 6 months and even though the 14060M was my first Rolex and I had a lot of good memories with it, I sold it because I love the 124060 more and I am a one watch kind of guy. It fits my wrist perfectly and the proportions are amazing. Also, the glidelock is a godsend. Hope this helps you out in your decision. Since you asked for pics, here you go.

DO IT! The ceramic bezel alone is a good enough reason. When you consider the clasp and movement as well....... IMHO it would be a mistake not to trade
