Rory McIlroy at the Open

Just watched his press conference at The Open and couldnt take my eyes off seeing his tourbillion spinning away. I know his current watch sponsor is Omega. So I decided to do a Google search. Looks pretty insane and one I dont imagine you see alot of.

Check it out

Omega DeVille Tourbillon CO-AXIAL Chronometer 513.53.39.21.99.001

Its only 137K

Cool. I like how the dial is made up basically from the architectural components of the caliber

I wonder what that thing is on the case-back at 9:00.

I had suspected it may be a way to open the case back to see the movement but nope. Straight from the Omega product guide

Sure does seem to be a weird way to set the time. Like physically awkward

WATCH FUNCTIONS
Your Tourbillon watch has two crowns:
The crown positioned at 3 o'clock (A) is used to manually wind the watch.
It should be turned gently and cannot be pulled out!
The crown situated on the caseback (B) is used to set the time.
