AP 26331ST for Rolex DD40 228235 Olive

Thinking of trading my AP Chrono 26331ST (blue dial) + 2-3k cash for a Rolex DD40 228235 Olive dial.

Both watches are 2019.

Would you do the trade?

Current watches in the collection (apart from the AP)
Rolex Batman
Lange 1815 boutique chrono
VC Overseas 4500v blue

Don’t like DD but why not? PM watch wins here. So make that trade if you like it ;-)

AP 26331ST for Rolex DD40 228235 Olive

I’d do it. PM over steel. Plus you have the dressier Lange chrono and SS sports in the VC and Batman.

And the DD in olive dial is a stunner in the metal.

Stellar collection by the way

I voted yes...I might rethink my answer.

I prefer the blue dial of the AP vs the VC Blue dial in your collection.

It would take more cash, but I would move the VC over the AP.

The green dial on the DD is very cool in person - it would be a great addition.

Keep us updated

I actually prefer the VC blue to the AP blue, but the case and bracelet finish on the AP is on another level. Another reason I am thinking of moving the AP is that it wears slightly large on my 6.75 inch wrists. The VC lug to lug is actually larger, but it wears better because the it slopes more.

Regardless will probably have to wait till things calm down before I make the trade. Plenty of time to decide at least!

With what you have it is not a bad choice, shame to lose an AP tho.

I agree, but seeing that the 41mm is slightly too large for me, I was going to replace it eventually.

If I do the deal, I will def be getting an AP (either the 38mm chrono or the 15202) in the future

I think for ap plus 2k is a reasonable deal
Did 40 olive with rose gold is one of the nicest combos
I have a 26315ST white with blue sub dials great watch fits well on my 6.6 inch wrist

AP 26331ST for Rolex DD40 228235 Olive

No brainer especially if you’ll be getting a 38mm chrono later.

I have that DD and it’s awesome

I would trade for the DD based on your collection. But personally I would move the VC, as I like AP better.

I'm a big fan of the Day Date. I would swap if that is the only route you can take.

Just $/$ value, that should be an even trade at best. Olive 228235 isn't easy to get.

Rolex D-D Rose Gold with Olive dial is one of the most beautiful watch, go for it.

Or stay with AP but move up to AP 15500OR, this one is a real gorgeous and very elegant watch.

The only Rolex PM that I *might* choose over a steel AP. But generally speaking would take any steel RO over any PM Rolex.
