The highlight was watching these three teenage kids try to take a tent that was filled with vomit and get it into mom's trunk and making sure not to spill it anywhere. Few hours earlier, they were having the time of their lives.

Our ski resort opens at 10 AM on Friday so that’s where I’ll be. I hate shopping under the best of circumstances.

I selectively watch to see things I would end up getting anyway. this year, upgraded our Dyson. last one we bought in 2011. fantastic vacuum.

when I bought our first house, it wasn't long after the movers left and boxes were unpacked that I thought man I need to vacuum... only to realize that we didn't have one.

so I headed to Lowes to go buy one. a young gentleman offered assistance, but I declined asking him who the oldest women working in the store was. he said that would be pam in fencing, and I asked him to get her. I asked her which vacuum would she buy if she had a choice. she picked the Dyson.

she wasn't wrong, solid piece.

went with the animal 3 this go around.

For some it never was. For many it has ceased. But I guess for the remaining crowd beavers it may still be a thing. No me. Would rather be buried in ants.

Some places jacked up the price before Black Friday sale to make it looks like you're saving some dough.

Here are some more, just for laugh.

Only a week???

I guess that all depends where you’re shopping. Best Buy for example started their Black Friday deals at least since the last week of October running through the 24th of December.

They’ve been projecting that retailers would be extending this sales period this year for awhile now. With the economy looking to take a down turn and most places overstocked this year was bound to have a longer sales period.

OK, This morning I drove to my gym, to do a little running on the treadmill. My gym is in a very large and popular mall here in San Diego, called UTC. Anyway, if I am going to do weight training I walk to and from, as that is a good exercise in itself, it’s about two miles each way, however when running I like to save my legs. Back to the point of this post, I drove to the mall at about 9:40AM, all the stores open at 10:00.

OMG!!!!! Trying to find a parking spot took me (no exaggeration) 30 minutes. I was seriously contemplating going home and walking. And the Holiday spirt? Good will towards men and all that other Sh*t? OMG!!!!! Twice I got in a FU conversation with two drivers. It was cutthroat! I don’t think I have ever seen anything like it! Honestly, i would rather be back in combat then go through that again. Miraculously, I lucked in to an open spot in the first row on the first level of the parking structure. Now, walking to the gym, maybe 100 yards? Was like dodging Tomahawk missiles. All laws and rules concerning driving are exempt during Black Friday. Stop Signs and pedestrian cross walks? Those are just there for decoration. It was INSANE!!!!!!

When I finally made it to the gym, there were about 4 people in it, that huge mass of people were all shopping in the mall. I was extremely glad to get the hell out of there after I was finished with my run, and in all seriousness, felt safer flying over Iraq during Desert Storm.

Good will towards men and all that other BS!? Yeah, right.

Now imagine that same sh*t show, except it’s in Las Vegas, while the Knights are playing, and there is a Joey concert.

My colleagues running the DC’s are all reporting slower than typical sales.

i would love if it was not a thing in physical stores and just ended up like a cyber monday thing. its either crazy hard to get into stores or chaos at the mall. sure more delivery drivers would not be great either but at least the orders will be spread out over weeks
