is it certain that only 116520 models get the color change to cream effect? For example, a 116523 serial#Y with white dial won't? I'm finding some TT's with color changing cream dials as well.

Just for variety...my AP cream dial.

A small number of first series Royal Oak chronographs turned from white to cream over time.

How rare is a k series daytona? Do they command that much more money?

If they ha e started to turn cream they command a premium, if not it’s just a white dial daytona with the small buckle so worth less than the newer random serial big buckle version

P serial is best. Some K are also very nice. My K serial has lighter cream than the P, but is also very pleasing.

Acquired a white dial 116520 recently ....
Full set
Unworn,with stickers on .
K serial/2001
Slim hands
Dial is pure white .

This watch is unworn and stayed in the box .Hasn't been exposed to light.

Question to the experts :
Will this dial remain white or will it turn yellow ?

Just an FYI, the original so-called "Panna" cream dials were actually on a batch of 6263/5 Panda Daytonas from the late '70s into the early '80s, usually in the 6.0-6.3 serial range. Unlike the more silvery dials on many of the 6263/5 Pandas, there are a creamy, whiter batch of dials. It's not necessarily a color-change effect from patina like on the white 116520s, but a batch that were produced differently for whatever reason.

Will probably turn light cream over time.

Most cream dials I have seen are worn. Some said the colour change could happen as a reaction of the dial to sunlight in the early years. I however also saw one unworn P serial with beautiful creamy dial. So probably yours would turn light with time.

This is just a light creamy dial which most P serial 116520 would has buy now. Would be big money for a full creamy one.

Curious how the markers on a "Swiss Made" dial also gained patina....

I'm thinking Baking? or tea-stained?
