Opinions on how this Sub C looks

I tried on my buddy’s Sub C last week and was wondering if everyone felt the same as I did. I just am not thrilled with how it looks on me. Despite being impressive, I think for my wrist I much prefer the look of the older style case. I guess this rules out a SD43

Thoughts?

Nothing wrong with liking the older case. I personally like all of them.

I like the 5 digit. But I like it better in 95% of the situations, not just yours.

I Bought a SubC and something always felt off about it. Like you, I wasn't thrilled with how the maxi case looked on me. I eventually traded it for a 5 digit sub and it immediately felt right and what I thought wearing a Rolex should feel like.

Both look good. Personally I'm more atracted to the 6 digit models.

The pic is a bit close to get a good perspective on the SubC, but from what I can tell, it looks fine on you. So does the five-digit. Get whichever one you prefer.

I think size wise, it looks fine. 5- vs. 6-digit is just subjective, and nothing wrong with preferring the proportions of the older. I think I prefer it as well.

I wish the ceramic blue insert was the same colour as the old one, that looks amazing.

Owned multiple 6-digit subs, multiple 5-digit, one 4-digit. Just bought myself a 6-digit once again (this time a 116610), they are a thing of beauty and its very impressive how robust they are.

I felt the same with my No-Date Sub C. It was a beautiful watch but I never bonded with the Super Case on my 6.5 wrist and prefer the look of the 5 digit references, so I flipped it.

The SD43 has a case similar to the 5 digit references just larger in size.

Exactly this

If you’re looking for a modern reference with vintage lines, the SD43 is one to consider

Why is the lume pearl not centered in the triangle at the top of the bezel?

Its because you have a Bluesy and then when you wear a 116610LN it looks dull and boring.

I had the exact same issue and feeling. I no longer own the LN.

Looks good on you and I love my Sub C, over 5 digits, something I thought I would never say.

Try a 116600 - although it is chunkier than the Sub and technically the same diameter, it wears smaller across the wrist due to the slimmer lugs.
