Omega Boutiques are giving some out to resellers and flippers. This is really annoying.
Agree it's wrong but it's impossible to stop. It happens with every hot watch with all brands.

...and some additional flippers from Australia.
It's very unfortunate since people that really like Omega will need to wait years to get their Snoopy.
Anyway, it's what it's.

Guys there is money to be made so there's money to be made. Money > everything else in life (to a lot of people).

People like me cannot get on a "list" to buy a BLNR.

Meanwhile there are 200 listed on C24 BNIB.

Is this fair?

There's money to be made so be it. Quit complaning about it.

I talked with my AD today asking when and if they have news for landing the Snoopy? I put me on their list (actually they called me to ask me if I want to be on the list). ...they don’t know when and how many units they will have available in 2021 for them.
What they know is that prices are already at north of 27k euro so they are monitoring this, they told me they see no reason for this as this reference is not limited number whatsoever but it is what it is.

Im annoyed by the Omega Boutiques that placed these pieces to resellers.
Of course this is happening and is normal it will keep happening, as there is a profit to be made by a specific type of customers.
What I don’t understand is how the resellers made it to the first cut of the distributed pieces.
What are they doing at those Boutiques?
Do they really check history?

Exactly what all those Rolex resellers are doing at the boutiques.

How is this a surprise to you?

Look, gray AD buys 5 SMPs from OB at 35% off every month. He then sells them at 25% off MSRP to his buyers. Doesn't seem like much but that's $500 on each watch and adds up very quickly.

Works like clockwork.

He's pushing 10s of thousands of $ business to the OB.

He turns up wanting 321 or Snoopy and gets first dibs. Look at purchase history above.

What part of this is hard to understand?

Even John P on YouTube recently talked about it in his video and noted that Omega are prepping a big price increase because they feel that they can.

Yep, I know this is the objective reality of what happens.
Although the change in model from Limited Edition to Limited Production with “particular attention to true collectors” (based on Omega CEO interview) made me hope that the OB would have been more client oriented rather than flipper/reseller oriented.
My associates at Omega are assuring me that this is the official policy.
Of course there will be exceptions, I just hope placing these references to resellers is not becoming a constant scheme, otherwise Omega is truly morphing into Rolex.
And that would be sad.

The thing is many people above have said about Omega being careful not to supply flippers but how exactly does anyone expect Omega to have any clue about what someone does once they walk out of the store with it? A flipper could have amazing buying history simply because he flips them and has a history of purchases which make him VIP..that's as far as their interaction goes

True. Maybe they got more than 4 allocated.
These Snoopy are appearing and disappearing so quickly... who knows where there are really coming from.
The one in Italy is gone now...

So that is what, the 4th confirmed secondary snoopy sale at between 25-30k on chrono so far. I can't believe these buyers are paying that much over rrp knowing it will 'drop back to mrp in 12-18 months' as so many are saying, purely with them happy to pay that much to be one of the first to own it

Based on what we are seeing I don’t understand how can anybody say that the Snoopy will be ever at mrp.
We have demand matched for a minimum of 2 years, only with the people on the official list, Without keeping in account all the customers on the list of interest.
To have this retailing at mrp we would need a drastic drop in demand in addition to increased production rate from Omega.
I don’t see this happening. It’s basically impossible.

Regarding why people are buying a steel sport watch with a 15K premium...
Well, I guess we should ask to whoever got an LV or a white face on Chrono over the past few months.
The easy answer: They want the watch, they want it now, and resources are not a problem.

I know some have said Omega are doing a slow roll out to dissuade flippers, but it has the opposite effect (intentionally or not). A sudden release of these watches on the same day worldwide would flood the market and there would be no demand for grey market sales. This leads me to believe that this is an intentional tactical ploy from Omega.

I agree plus doing that mass roll out at this price point I would feel like I’d want this to be rarer/special when I get mine than it just being as common as the standard speedmaster

Yep, it certainly will feel more special. I got my name on the list and deposit paid at OB about 15 minutes into the opening day (which put me several places down the list). Hoping to get one this year, but we'll see.

And now I would pay $2.200.

Actually they should give some money to the buyers to get these watches...

Premium stabilizing around 20K, for now...

It may drop a bit during the next year. Still I believe it will not go below the 5-10 K range given the scarcity and the waiting required.
