New SMP 300 MC Coming in 2021

It seems that someone has leaked images from the unreleased 2020 catalogue of the upcoming SMP 300 model.

Bracelet appears to be tapered.

End links appear to be female.

The dial is really clean with only two lines, really bring back the vintage vibe.

I don't like the Spectre seconds hand, seems a bit of a reach.

The domed sapphire looks gorgeous.

Appears to be thinner than its predecessor.

Available in black, blue with bracelet and strap options.

I love it! But, they went back to aluminum bezel inserts? Doesn’t the current model have ceramic with liquid metal numerals?

Yes, that’s the only issue I can see with this. The crystal and the dial look great along with the tapered bracelet. The fact they’ll make it wear smaller with the pivoted end links is a bonus also.

Looks a winner to me. Looking forward to seeing in the metal.

I like the watch and look forward to seeing it in person. I will add this to the list for 2021.

Looks nice. Like the straight lugs. I simply cannot and will not do faux patina (if that is the case here).

Lots of big things from Omega in 2021 it looks like. New Speedmaster, new Seamaster 300, and supposedly new Planet Ocean coming on top of a large portion of Snoopy 50’s being delivered in 2021.

Aluminum bezel insert is quite a downgrade. I guess they wanted to go all in on the vintage theme.

Where have you heard about new Omega PO models for 2021?

It was briefly mentioned in the thread on WUS that had the updated Seamaster 300 master coaxial. That’s why I said “supposedly new PO”.

I really hope they do update the PO because the current gen PO proportions are just too out of whack.

I would also like to see a PO with smaller dimensions...a 41 mm or 42 mm version would be ideal!

The first generation 2500 movement PO was by far the best proportioned version.

I really liked the look of the 8500 42mm dial but when I tried it on, the watch was just way to thick. I tried on the 8800 and 8900 3rd gen PO and both were just awkward looking on my wrist.

Agree, will be interesting to see if they will come close to this in 2021 but I doubt

I happen to be severely color blind so I'm not sure if that's faux patina or not but if it is I pray that they release one with white indices, I would get one in a heartbeat!

Let me get this straight. Is this a new interpretation of a recent watch? Seems old from start to me but at least the aluminum bezel is a very welcome feature IMO and I hope Rolex brings them back one day as well.

It references “vintage” Superluminova so my expectation is that it is - to the extent the photos are not clear.

I really like the look of this the polished centre links always put me off, I also like the retro leather strap. Looks a nice refinement of an already great watch.

This is a revamp of the Seamaster 300m Master Co-axial and not be confused with the Seamaster 300m Professional Diver that came out in 2018.

Thank you. Their design team should go out more and have some drinks to come up with better ideias in the future.

I think everything except for the Open (sandwich) numbers. I would rather Omega "filled" them with lume.

Having said that, I want one. :D

Got it, I see the differences now. At first glance I could only think Spectre. Looks pretty nice though, I have three modern seamasters so wouldn’t mind adding a retro piece.

Exactly!!!!!! The 2500 PO, in both the 42mm or 45XL models, were certainly the best in proportion, look and keeping to the look of a traditional dive watch. The ones on the "Shark Cage" Mesh bracelets were the fantastic!

It’s a common misconception about colour blindness, I don’t see in literally black and white but it’s much harder to discern what name goes with the color. I can see a difference but can’t necessarily name what it is ie. I might come across burgundy and not know if the color I’m seeing is in the “red” or “brown” family.

Because the pictures were grainy I don’t trust my eyes to discern if it was a due to the nature of the photograph (looked like a phone camera) or if it was the actual color. I’m able to see faux patina in real life but I couldn’t name what color it is for the life of me.
