Anyone tried a 15300 on a rubber strap?

Hi Vince

Yep i tried an aftermarket Blue rubber on my 15300 blue it was back on bracelet within the hour...

The bracelet is a huge part of the Royal Oak appeal for me..

I thought that might be the case! Was thinking of it as maybe a summer option.

Don’t take Nauti’s opinion! He quit after and hour...no staying power, that’s like giving up on a girl after one date, when she clearly hasn’t had the opportunity to show all of her talents...

I can’t recall when, but there’s definitely some threads on here about RO’s being put on rubber, and they look great. Even chiscott put his 15407 on rubber at one point.

That said, Nauti does have a very good point, a huge part of the RO is the bracelet, but that doesn’t mean it can’t wear rubber too.

I’m not sure how difficult the swap maybe if you wanted to do it yourself though.

I think it’s a very personal choice. Post pics when you’ve done it, which of course you are going to do.

I keep one on rubber one on bracelet. Best of both worlds, albeit very expensive for the convenience of having both as an option.

any updates on this? I'm interested myself in getting a navy blue rubber strap for my 15300. I'm fine with aftermarket if the quality is excellent. I don't care for the velcro that rubber b offers btw.

Not a 15300 but I wear my 15500 on a rubber strap, extremely comfortable, especially in the 35c degree tropical heat which makes the bracelet a little uncomfortable for me.

I called APSC recently and got pretty far into the process of buying everything needed to go OEM and then received a call back saying, they don't offer any straps for the 15300. But it sounded like there was definitely some compatibility options. I believe the 15400 straps might fit the 15300, but I'm not sure.

I was pretty disappointed but still obviously really enjoy the 15300 on bracelet so can't complain too much lol.

Anyhow, I'd love to try it out on navy rubber one day.

Will explore options when I visit AP House which should be next month all being well. Will keep you posted.

I wear my RG ROC on a rubber strap in the summer months. It was originally a strap model (26022) so all I had to do was order an OEM brown strap. It’s not as flexible/comfortable as the Aquanaut rubber but I like it. So even though I think a big part of the Royal Oak’s DNA is the bracelet, I like changing it up during the warmer months.

I think the city of sails strap will fit. You will need plots though

Again; not a 15300 but a 15500 to give you a bit of an idea of the look.

That's really nice. Don't mind me asking but is that an OEM AP strap? Did you have to order the plots too? Whats the damage to order one?
