Help me pick -- AP Code11.59 vs GO Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar

I am looking for a dress/ causal watch. I have tried both and liked both of them. I have no buying history with AP BT so the Code "might" help out a bit in future purchase.

I’d vote for the AP without hesitation because.... it’s an AP and that’s a unique and beautiful piece. Plus it will most definitely help with the relationship.

Unless... you’re able to find the GO LE version which I’ve always thought to be a stunning timepiece and great value against the rest of the field at that price for what it offered. Then I’d vote GO.

Good luck with what you decide.

This is the AP subforum.. so AP it is. If you can get afford the code it is a splendid watch.

I would get the GO. I don't think the Code represents good value for money compared to what else is on offer at that price point. A perpetual calendar is a very special complication, and GO's implementation is unique. More practical as well, with 100 hour power reserve and 50m WR.

I'd go AP here, don't like those GO elongated Roman numerals, but the dial layout is nice and Germanically efficient as you'd expect.

Of these two watches the GO is the one that works best for me. Looks great.

AP. It’s bold. If I were a die-hard Prince or LA Lakers fan, I’d totally rock this everyday.

Haha…I know but I thought the Codes got no love from this forum, especially at this price range.

Yes that’s the one. Striking piece and one in which the big date really comes together with the rest of the dial. Beautiful in my eyes.

Like you said, the GO represents good value. I might pick up a Code in the future as I do think it is a good looking watch. Here are more GO photos

You should get which one you like. But, for me it was the Code1159 purple no hesitations. And, I am not a laker fan and it suits me just fine. I love the piece.

It is not as loud as people think. It will help with relationship but will not get you desirable AP pieces. That boat has sailed. Code has been getting its own recognition...though slowly.
