Explorer and Explorer 11 availability?
Not for me. A friend has asked if these are possible to get at an AD? He knows most SS are practically impossible without a relationship but wasn’t sure on these - the explorer 11 is the white dial option.
I’ll ask the AD I use tomorrow but thought I’d get a good idea from here if possible. Cheers |

Depends on where you are at. I hear UK is as bad as any. Here in Canada, you can get an Explorer with a relatively short wait. 2-6 months at most ADs. Not nearly as bad as SubC which has a wait time in years if you are lucky to get on a list. or GMT which is Fugit about it :D

Got my Explorer 1 in Sept after just a couple of months wait. I do think interest / wait time is picking up on them again though with speculation of them being changed next year.

Yes it’s MS. I’m fairly sure I could get one quite easily but wondering more if he could at this moment in time.

3-6 month wait in my case. I did have prior purchase history. I would get on a few lists. Wait six months and if it doesn't work out, go gray. Worst case if you get the call after you went gray, you can flip the gray.

I was told a year in February for a black dial 216570. Going to be a fair bit longer than that though I think. I only have minimal buying history with the AD - BB58.

One month to the day here in Oz for a 214270. Only bought one Omega 1 year prior so was surprised how quickly I got the call.

I was told recently the Explorer 2 is no longer able to be requested (ordered) in the AD system. I also have been hoping to get one before the anniversary of this model (next year). Might not happen if it’s been discontinued...

I put down a 50% deposit on a polar E2 in September. The AD told me that they haven't seen one come through their store in quite a while, and there are people ahead of me. Every AD within driving distance from me will not take orders for them. Even gray inventory is sparse.
I'm hoping I don't get the call before the 50th anniversary update in 2021. I want the new one with the 3287 movement and possible ceramic bezel. |

Just visited my AD in regards to the explorer 1 I have been eyeing. Sounds like they haven’t seen many come in and aren’t expecting many. Starting worry this watch my be not so attainable. I was hoping to receive one in the next couple months. Also inquired about a air king it seemed to be the same way.

Interesting; I have been waiting since March for an ExpI from a well known AD in NYC, so that is a very optimistic timeframe for sure.

I got my EXP1 in Jan 20' after a three month wait and got my DJ 41 this month after a one month wait.
Depends on location and relationship I think.

I think the Explorer has become really rare here now but ive made a conscious effort to keep in common touch with my AD ever since I got my first piece, the Seamaster from them back in 2016. I think it pays off if you just keep in touch with them, keeps you front of their mind. I actually got super lucky with the Blue DJ as it was intended for someone else, but they hadnt been contacted yet so they offered me it.

There is GMT but that's almost unattainable for average folk like myself. And the Seamaster is a thrilling choice but you know that anyways. Its a forum favourite on many watch forums that I frequent. |

Explorer 11 could be a long wait if it ever becomes available. First, they have to make the Explorer III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X.
