Found a crispy 1802 white gold for sale, any advice before purchasing?

It’s all about the price in my opinion. With a recent service those are likely luminova replacement hands but that’s not a huge deal if the price is right

That is a 2014 price, I would grab it for 20. These are easily trading in the 25-30 range today. Does it have the original papers?

Looks amazing! Not often you see a smooth white gold bezel that’s for sure!

Its ok, at least it has a warranty card, so you know the internals are all factory Rolex parts.

Does the bracelet have all of its links? Even from an AD, a new link will cost you around $300 each.

Not much information from the OP, and just one photo. A bit of a strange post. :-(

My only advice with so little information is to ask for more photos, including of the service invoice. If the price is truly below market, then you need to be extra careful.

I thought about this too. Maybe more pictures should be posted.

I dont have any info On the watch other than I was at one point going in the direction of the 1802, but at the time was having a difficult time trying to find the right one. A beautiful watch

Sorry I only have this picture. That’s the post. Yes that 1802 is for sale at 20k and it seems to be pristine. Will post more pics when I have it on the wrist

Much rarer than the 1803, and in white gold it's an absolute treat. My favorite watch ever - beats the fluted bezel for me. That case is sharp AF!

Wow, white gold 1802, and with minute track dial to boot. Some people will probably assume it’s platinum, with that bezel.

Congrats on the find, I obviously am not hunting hard enough!

Here’s my YG 1802, common as dirt by comparison ...

(I assume they must have made WG claw markers, but I don’t recall ever seeing any.)

Beautiful watch and hour markers , that smooth bezel really blends the watch all together. Makes it completely different from a fluted bezel watch

Beautiful!
If you can, post some sharp, close up pics of the dial and case?

When did the 1802s switch from the “domed” smooth bezel to the flat one? I assume it was quite early, before 1963-4, as iirc my 1802 is ~1964 (it has the cigarette boat hands) but has the flat bezel.

Thanks I will try to post sharper pics tonight. Not sure when they shifted from the domed bezel, it’s very elegant
