Girard Perregaux Laureato Silver dial?
Just thinking ahead to something I might like to look into later in the year and I keep running into the Laureato. I'm finding myself sort of Laureato-curious. It looks like a nice piece from a company with an incredibly long history of watch making. Not a ton of info out there though.
Anyone have experience with, and/or pictures of, the Laureato with the Silver dial? I know everyone will say "buy the blue!" but I'm just a black/silver/white dial kind of guy. ;-) Appreciate any first hand info you might have. |

I'm a long-time fan of the Laureato collection. I had the opportunity to buy the LE silver 2016 anniversary model, but held out for (and didn't get) the blue one, and then the silver was gone.
As for the newer 38/42 models, I think the 42 is the better choice, if your wrist can take it. The watch just feels more "luxurious" to me. YMMV. While I like all of them, I really like the dark grey and blue the best, with black a close third. The silver just feels a bit bland to me, and does not sufficiently highlight, to my eyes, the clous de paris pattern. Again, just personal preference. Also, it's worth checking out the chronographs, too. Good luck! |

I love the laureato. You can’t go wrong. I have the gen 3 from ‘95 but the newer ones are fantastic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I went for the blue in 38 and it's a very special watch indeed. Have a look at the recent Watchfinder video on it and you will be encouraged to take a chance.
I did have the opportunity to have a proper look at the silver. It is still a gorgeous watch but for me the reduced contrast with the hands made it pop just a little less. Good luck and here's mine image hosting websites |

I will get back to you on the lug to lug but can tell you my wrist is just a touch over 6.5" but only a smidge and it fits perfectly and it wears very thin aided by the shape of the lug / integrated bracelet. The 42 wore much too big for me.

For me, my black face 42mm laureato is one of the best sporty watches.

Had a quick measure and I reckon it is only about 40mm from the inside point of the lugs and about 44 to the outside. Honestly with the design of the bracelet it will fit any wrist. Its just a case of how large a face you like with this style of watch

It sure is a good looking watch. I’m kind of going back and forth between the Laureato and Glashütte Original Seventies Panorama Date with a blue dial.

Ended up going with Silver. I really like it. I'm surprised at how thin it is but it's very comfortable and looks great "in person".
