Help: Daytona vs skydweller

Hey all,

So my AD asked me the other day what stainless piece I’d be looking for next, and, as a reflex, I stated “A white face Daytona.”

But my wife asked “what about a skydweller?” And, after discussion, I’m reaching out.

I have a black face Rolex, and a blue on the way, so I’m really thinking white.

What do you guys think? Skydweller or Daytona?

Is pick Daytona between the two. But both are beautiful watches.

Of course everyone will say Daytona, but I genuinely find the Sky-D the more interesting piece. The white dial Sky-D in particular really tickles my fancy. I haven't heard much SD talk lately, could it be popularity is dwindling as everyone wants a glass of Pepsi now?

both, blue skyD and white daytona C, take whatever comes.

don't need to worry about the funding if that's the concern. Plenty of time in between to save

Sky dweller for me. I’m going to get killed on this one, but I think the Daytona is too small.

This. If it was me, I'd pick the SkyDweller over the Daytone any day.

I own both; the Sky D would be my choice of the two if I had to make a decision!!!

You pick, you're gonna wear it. No one can decide for you. Both great watches.

I much prefer the Daytona, but the two watches are so different that I suspect one of them sings to you more than the other one.

I’ve got the white Daytona and skydweller, both beauties. If I could only keep one though it would be the Daytona.

Some people would think Sky dweller is ugly because of its busy dial.
But I still like it more especially TT

Close call, but I'd pick the Skydweller. The Daytona is the "hot" watch, and market wise it is the more desirable. The Skydweller however is technically the more superior watch complication wise, and IMO has a much more useful function (Calendar and GMT). Aesthetically, it's subjective. I own both and I think both are beautiful, but they each have a different appeal. The Daytona is an icon and is instantly recognizable. The Skydweller is a new model and not as recognizable as the Daytona. That said however, more casual, non-watch enthusiast observers have called it a "nice watch", much more so than the Daytona.
Good luck!

Two very different watches. The fact that you are cross shopping them shows perhaps the hype is affecting your selection?
