Sky-Dweller all the way. I have both and Daytona just can’t match the beauty and versatility of Sky-Dweller. Depends on the colour of the dial how long is the wait, but seems that blue Sky-Dweller is a lot harder to get than SS Daytona.

I have faced the same choice, white Daytona or Sky.

I went with Sky. No regrets.

Good luck with your choice!

If the size of the Daytona works for you that would be my choice. I have owned two Sky Dwellers and while I like the size of the case the dial and complications do not work for me.

Tell your AD both...Whatever shows up first is the winner.

If both show up - swipe the card - It would be a stunning pair

Personally out of the three SS Skydwellers I think the white dial would be my least favourite. That being said the white dial Daytona would also be my second choice behind the black. But if I had to choose I would buck the trend of going with hype and go for the Skydweller without a doubt. I find it a much more interesting watch and slightly more dynamic.. but that’s all subjective. Whatever you get I really hope you enjoy

Your reflex answer was Daytona. Your wife said Sky. What is it that you want?

They are VERY different watches in all respects - size, complications, look etc. I think the SD is amazing for it's complication; however, I wouldn't buy one. It's too BIG for me and the dial is very busy and to my eyes - unbalanced. So, FOR ME, the Daytona would be the choice. FOR YOU - it may be different. I would not buy for the hype and/or just because one comes in before the other etc. Buy the one you want, like and will enjoy - unless you want BOTH.

Daytona for me. I love both but always lean towards the the sportier references.

I really like the Sky Dweller, particularly the blue dial, but I LOVE the ss Daytona, particularly the white dial. I would go Daytona without question.

I'd probably use the Sky-Dwellers complications more than the chronograph, but it would be a hard choice between the 2. Leaning towards the sky-dweller at the moment but both would be ideal

After many years of searching, I sold my SS Daytona within the first year. Just wasn't feeling all the hype. And the chrono is not that useful - screw down pushers are ridiculous (would much prefer a rotating bezel to time things).

So Sky it is.

Interesting.

I feel like the overwhelming majority of people (that get the Daytona C) don't end up using the chronograph or tachymeter very much, if at all. If that's the case, people are really just crazy over the watch due to the perpetuated hype and inherent aesthetics of it (i.e., some people think it's gorgeous while others flat out don't like how it looks). Frankly, a time zone complication (GMT, or even better, a PP time travel complication) would actually be something I use.

I've always wondered if the day came along where I get the call for it, how happy will I be once it's on my wrist? Once the "high" of finishing the hunt for this watch (that I have been patiently waiting for since summer 2016) is over, will I still be ecstatic? Maybe it's a piece for some people where they get more excitement around the prospect of owning one rather than actually owning one...or maybe I just need to get the chance to actually try on a white dial and see it for myself what I'm missing out on

I'd say Daytiona all day, but if you are looking for a little more "flash", the SkyDweller is the call.

I had the option and went white DaytonaC. With that being said I'm looking to add either a Skydweller or the new GMT BLRO (already have a BLNR)

Nice but IMHO (beside I prefer the Daytona) is I think the Daytona would be a better fit for your wrist size and be more balanced and wear more comfortably than that Sky

I actually agree, I usually stay at 40mm or smaller so the Daytona does fit me better.

I just couldn’t resist this blue color and I really like the complication so I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and live dangerously:)

Don't love the SkyDweller mostly because I like Rolex for its simplicity, and this watch is just too complex.
