Sky Dweller by default since the Daytona is too small for my wrist.

Sky dweller. But I find the white face the most bland of the colors. The complications make this watch very interesting.

It would depend what day you asked me. Both would be ideal as they are such different pieces. A white dial Daytona would pair beautifully with a blue dial Skydweller.

I love the idea of the sky dweller and think it would be the ultimate watch for me - I travel a ton and an AC with a GMT would be PERFECT. Sadly I don’t have the wrist to pull it off. I have the Daytona C with the white face. It’s the perfect size for me. Don’t use the chrono much, but love the aesthetic. It’s an iconic piece.

As a busy doc who works both days and nights (and consults across the country), I’m actually leaning towards the skydweller for the gmt function and the calendar. It’d be a great day to day piece.

SkyD

I find the Daytonas look too small on me (the exception being the WG on OF...but even tin comparison to that, I’d likely go for the SD)

Wao.. I didnt know SkyD would have got so many votes here.

I thought 90% people here like daytona more than SkyD.

And its quite shocking, white dial skyD also get some votes, and nobody mention black dial one.

As a proud owner of white dial skyD, this makes me love mine even more. Haha

More poison

I change the bracelet to after market croco leather. Inspired by the gold version and it looks amazing.

Tried to reduced some bling of this watch

I think the annual calendar complication at the SS price point is quite a value. I would say if you want a chrono get a Speedmaster otherwise the SkyD is the winner!

The one you like the most.

BUT - I’d take the SkyDweller over the Daytona.

(Stainless SkyD is the ‘harder’ of the two to get anyway)

I've been waiting for a blue dial SD since January. It's a very clever annual calendar that IMO has a very well balanced and appealing look to it.
I have never felt the need for a chronograph and just don't get why people go gaga for Daytonas.
I have a Polar EII and I really like that watch for working in the woods or around the farm. It's very easy to read and a good size for me.

An annual calendar with a GMT is far more useful than a Daytona with a chronograph that you'll probably never use. Looks wise the SkyD is much more blingy than the Daytona, so the look of the two is important to consider. SkyD wins the functionality/usefulness contest hands down.

Definitely Daytona. It’s the true icon and the current version is the best since the classic vintage references. White or black you can’t go wrong. I believe Sky-Dweller market prices will start to come down in a few years. The premium is not sustainable for what is essentially a Datejust 41 Plus, even though it’s an annual calendar, imo.

I tried on the Skydweller over the weekend, passed on it bc of the thickness. It’s a big watch with wrist presents. I honestly would rather a blue face DJ41 fluted bezel over the skydweller all day. For most daily activities time and date is all you need. I used the chrono on my Daytona once, at the ad.

Even though it’s the moon watch, Omega has released so many different versions that they have destroyed the watch IMO. It will never be a Daytona and if someone wants a Daytona, the Speedmaster will not satisfy that desire unless we’re talking about a vintage example from the ‘60s.

The Skydweller is an impressive timepiece but it's easily the ugliest watch Rolex makes. I don't care for the Daytona that much but I know I would never wear a Skymaster.

on top of my head, i would also say Daytona because it has been out for 2 years now, yet still vey hard to acquire through ADs, you can buy at secondary markets at very high premium if you want.

Skydweller has more useful function, but is also easier to get at least compared to the daytona, skydweller seems to pop up more often than Daytona in greys, and eve inf dealers. if you're lucky, White dial SS have been displayed in some ADs. But no chance of you seeing a Daytona in display
