Just not getting the warm and fuzzy on some TRF FS thread disclosures
I previously posted about a thread where the seller claimed that the watch "appeared" original.
So let's look at this one next, which makes the following claim.. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=643842 ...also watch was sold to me as 100% original however I am not a vintage Rolex expert, please do your own research before purchasing. I have had multiple of my “vintage” friends tell me watch looks legit from pictures and I got a beauty! . PLEASE DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE WHEN PURCHASING |

This is why I stay away from vintage. I don’t have the knowledge and don’t trust most sellers.

This is case of a new-ish TRF member (April, 2018) who also sells in other channels - is too new to vintage to have gained requisite experience - and puts the burden on the buyer in the wording he used. I’m not questioning honesty - he tells you upfront he doesn’t know.
He has good feedback here and is locally connected to a reputable off-road moto motorsports retailer - so don’t believe he is deceitful. Just new to this vintage game. I think an inexperienced vintage buyer would be overpaying IMHO, but... as some experienced eyes have noticed, a veteran vintage collector can easily pass on that one.
