INCOMING: Rolex HULK 116610LV

I was fortunate enough to acquire a green submariner without any purchase history from a prominent authorized dealer in my area.

Coming from a precious metal SubC, I must admit, although I love the way it changes shades of green depending on the light, handling the watch feels like it's a toy compared to the all precious metal piece.

I definitely like both, but I'm surprised how huge of a difference about 75 grams makes on the wrist. It made me love my precious metal even more. Has anyone else experienced this?

Wishing everyone happy holidays!

Next post will probably say, show pic or it didn't happen. lol

Congrats, that's a pretty rare find in an AD. I recently acquired one myself as well as traded my smurf. I agree with you on what a significant difference there is in the feel between the two. Unless someone has felt the difference, it is hard to explain how much of a difference 70 or so grams makes; when speaking in grams, it just doesn't sound like much.

It was more like begging, not much of a "find." When the shipment came, I got the call, and she took it out of the coffin in front of me. Many sticker still in place when I left.

When I called to check in the other day, other associates had heard about me, and they were rather upset since they had customers who had been asking for the watch. I was lucky the sales agent designated the watch to me, especially since I wasn't a VIP, I mean, I didn't even have a...anyway . Very thankful.

Current state of affairs, ay? From 2014 and 2015, able to get over 20% off this watch w no tax, to this. Hmmm.

Sunburst dials are awesome. Rolex has really worked their magic and perfected the process.

Never been a fan of the Smurf. That flat powder blue never did anything for me. Congrats to you too!

Here's an unfortunate picture. I felt pressured. I wasn't ready!

Once you go PM its very very hard to wear SS.

You get used to the weight and luster of the metal and honestly you just feel so good about yourself. Well I do anyway. It just feels ultra special.

Congratulations

You’ll learn to appreciate the (comparatively) light weight feel of the SS
