Does my Datejust 41 Fit Correctly?

Hi everyone,

I just picked up my new Datejust 41 (ref# 126300) and love it! The AD sized it by removing two links for me. Does it seem like it sits correctly/balanced to you guys? I feel like it tends to ride a bit too high towards the other part of my arm (away from me), and that gap between the bottom of the case and my arm is a bit large. I also feel like the clasp should be more centered on my underarm? Perhaps I'm overthinking it? Wasn't sure if the large clasp overhang might be interfering.

Apologies for the non upright photos! I think its because my iPhone. The orientation of the photos is correct if you open them as a new tab.

I'd remove a link from the 6 o'clock side and add it to the 12 o'clock side. Have an AD do it and make sure they use the right tools and apply Loctite, in case you decide to have it done.

Agreed. The clasp blades look biased towards one side rather than being centered.

Four links on the 6 o-clock side and six visible links on the 12 o'clock side should fit more comfortably.

Center the entire clasp deployant rather than just the clasp housing itself.

Yep, you could switch a link but it actually looks ok as is as long as it’s comfortable. Mine is similar in that I have a bone in the top of the wrist that makes the watch sit up at the 12 o’clock side. All my watches do that to an extent.

This. You want the clasp centered under the case, or biased slightly toward the 6:00 side. Yours skews far too much toward the 12:00 side. Simply switching a link from the 6:00 side to the 12:00 side will take care of it, provided you find the bracelet to fit well otherwise.

BTW, I would suggest you pay no mind to the people who provide no indication that they actually read your post. Those who simply answer "yes," or the like, appear merely to have read your subject heading, looked at your pics, and presumed you were asking how the case fits your wrist in terms of size. The watch itself looks great on you, but whoever sized that bracelet hadn't had their coffee yet. You are definitely not overthinking it.

Have them move a link from one side to the other as mentioned above , but fit looks good to me.
Here’s mine on 7” wrist

If it is comfortable, and not too tight or too loose, I'd leave it alone for awhile and see how it feels in a couple of months. It's a great looking watch.

I know exactly what you mean. I always have more links one side than the other so that the clasp in centred better rather than ensuring the same number of links each side. I find it feels far more centred that way. So one link moved from 6 to 12. Your AD will sort it for you I'm sure

I’ll add one more for switching a link over to the other side. My DJ (sized by the AD) did the same thing. The link switch corrected it.

In the photo, clasp blades are holding bracelet away from wrist. One link should be swapped to better center the clasp blades.

In the pics it looks like the 12 o clock side is shorter vs the 6. I would swap it. The 6 should be shorter to sit better.

There is another current thread with some pics of a new DJ 41 off the wrist.
The clasp alignment looks very different to yours. More central...

Have a look at the pics on post #16

Thank you all for your detailed replies! Glad to know it's not all in my head. I will get it adjusted by my AD today and report back.

Thank you for posting this! His watch seems to have the same amount of links combined as mine, but definitely looks more centered. Will switch a link from the 6'o-clock side to 12'o-clock as suggested.

It's hard to tell from the angles of your pics, TBH. But it does seem to me that there are too many links on the 6 o'clock side. I would give moving a link from the 6 o'clock side to the 12 o'clock side a shot. It's a 5 minute job and easily reversible if you don't like it.

As others have mentioned, just swap one link from the 6 o'clock side to the 12 o'clock side. Six side should always have same or less links than twelve side, never more.

I have 6 links at 12 o'clock, 5 links at 6 o'clock and it's close to perfect.

I never have more than one less one the six. Either one less or even count. Don't forget, you have a micro adjustment on the clasp if needed.
