Icon7 1601 Back from service

My 1976 Datejust came back from a full service this weekend, here are some pics!

The box is of an earlier type, all the rest of the goodies came with the watch.

I agree. Another reason why a Rolex is a timeless time-piece. Looks as good today as the day it was born.

What a timeless timepiece. This is exactly why I have always wanted a Rolex. I only regret not buying one when I was overseas in the military. It would have cost a lot less back then. Of course I was 17 years old when I joined and I did not know the value of money. In fact I was overseas when your watch was born!

I love the watch and I will say the day of the giant 60MM will become extinct like the dinosaurs and everyone will want a 36 and 40MM classic Rolex on the wrist.

That's awesome, you have a 1601 with box and papers, congrats

The 1601 is such a classic and the service has brought it back to pristine condition
