Speedmaster Purchasing Help - New vs Used

Hello all,

I've decided it's time to pick up another Speedmaster. I've had 2 of the new Speedy Pros with the huge box and strap set before but this time I'm thinking of going with an older 3570.50 to hopefully save a bit.

I've sourced a great condition preowned 3570.50 from a trusted seller BUT the watch has an unknown service history.

Given the cost of a potential upcoming service ($500-$800), that offsets any savings with buying used and pretty much gets me a brand new Speedmaster.

The question is, do I go with the used 3750.50 now at a great savings or just spend the extra and go new?

If the numbers are even I would go with new

Yeah after re-thinking the math it’ll still be about $600 cheaper for the used Speedmaster + future service vs the new one.

In the long scheme of owning the watch, that's not very much. At the same time these watches are pretty stout in the first place so buying a well conditioned used one poses little risks IMO. Just up to you if you want to peel the stickers off the watch and be the first.
