the fact that they are not all available on chrono 24 is correct , but this also counts for the 5070P :-)

I als have info from boutiques and AD ;-)
But I trust my own feeling more. LOL
My interest in watches begun more than 20 years ago.
btw, I have the 5131J and R, so I'm not bashing this watch !

Where did you see 76 5131Rs on chrono24?? I just looked and cant see more than 20 odd of which only 3-4 have actual photos of the real watch of which ive seen the same photo used by the other dealers so I will stick by my average estimation of 40-50 per year max :-))

Ive even seen my actual 5131R sealed up in a photo being offered by various dealers on chrono24 so that site as a reliable source is not what I would go on..

I searched for every 5131, not only the R

btw, .... let's see what the estimate on this site ;-)

http://www.watchprosite.com/patek-ph...113.8461418/0/

give them a couple of hours to answer

Like said, concerning Patek we have better info on that other site ( don't ban me moderators )

MD likes me because he saw I always wear a nice le watch on my wrist. This is the best way to show him that I am not a flipper. Also, I expect to be treat differently because I always link the photos and forum to my AD and MD to show them that I am a true watch lover.

I already proof I am not a flipper. Again I don't like they keep my garantee paper for two years.

How can a loyal customer always be loyalty to His AD and MD If they don't trust their customers?

Well my argument is with regards to the 5131R not other models J and G... With regards to the enamel dials I read and heard that out of 10 attempts to make an enamel dial on average only 1 makes it to an actual watch, so if there is only 1 or 2 ladies making these dials I cant see how 150 a year are made or 12.5 dials per month.. We will never know exactly

Bruno btw I am talking about the 5131R not all models here so maybe you should correct your thread across the road to 5131R not 5131 only??? Im not a member there but do follow it..

I enjoy 5131G the most at the moment, but I hope PP can make a 5160 case back on 5131G. I already have the diamond buckle. I am going to put my diamond buckle on 5131G.

D1s.jpg

I like them all 5131, 5575, 7175, 5160, 5088 and so on. Especially for LE worldtime watch. I think I will like 5131P the most(A dream in the future).

My another dream is a whole enamel dial watch.

Many congratulations.

Personally I am a fan of the guarantee papers policy. Patek in the U.K. are not being selective in applying the rule, it is the same for everyone!

In 2009 we know:

fewer than 100 pieces per year, because of the difficulty of making the highly complex cloisonné dials (see "The Art of Cloisonné," page 148). According to Thierry Stern, Patek Philippe’s vice president and the son of current president Philippe Stern, two artisans—a woman and her son—make the dials: "He shapes the wire, and his mother applies the colors. It’s a family business, and they keep their secrets in the family. There is always some magic and a secret inside these watches."

Now that was 7 years ago and at least we know 2 people can make 100 dials per annum. Employ 2 more and you get 200....so how many work on the dials today?

Here is an article with regards to how hard an enamel dial is to make.. Quite interesting I think.. I still stick to my estimation of 30-50 dials per year.. :-))

Thank you for your kind words.

Forgive my poor English. I shouln't use "insult", but I real don't like the policy. You can't treat every customer like flipper. I do proof I am not a flipper by showing photos to My AD and MD all the time. Just feel they shouldn't hold my paper for two years. This is what I want to say" Don't upset your loyal customer".

Brian you shouldn't take it personally as your collection and access to sort after pieces shows the high esteem with which Boodles and Rhone hold your patronage. However Russell with a more modest collection and is equally passionate about the 5131 (having waited 8 years!) has been treated the same. I think that's an excellent moral stand point taken by Rhone that everyone will be treated equally irrespective of your financial firepower!! There is almost a sense of fairness ..... You have worn the G for years so they know you aren't a flipper....but is it fair to allow some subjectivity into a policy??? I don't think so...I wish I had a watch that was so coveted that they wanted to keep the papers!!

I live in Taiwan, not as convenient as you live in UK. It may be hard for me to have my paper back if Jamie is not working in Boodles two years later. Who knows what will change two year later.

My AD already order me a new strap for 5131R. Also, I prepare another color strap for my incoming 5131R.

My favorite 5131 is also the G, hoping that the p might be in my collection one day, maybe as my AD told me I might get a 5131 in 2018, no guarantees, so with some luck 2018 will be the year of the p and will be for me, one can always hope, it's free...

Papers are held by Rhone not Boodles so they will always be safe and available.

My papers will also be kept by Rhone for two years. I don't have a problem with it personally.

That would be a result - have you had your name down for a while?

Not sure if they would transition people on the list for the R to the P. Hopefully they let existing 5131 owners also put their name down for the P.
