I have both an Aquanaut and a Daytona Ceramic. The Aquanaut gets much more wrist time than the Daytona, and I enjoy wearing it much more. That said, I wouldn't get rid of both rolexes, the Aquanaut is not a beater, I think your best combo would be to keep the Daytona and sell the other Rolex plus cash for the Aquanaut.

I flipped a ceramic Daytona at a premium; Rose Gold DD40; GMT Coke (no b+p); a Rose Gold Panerai 439 for a brand new 5170G black dial with my name on the warranty, straight out of the plastic. I feel like I came out ahead. I justified that I could easily replace any of the watches I traded very close to what I received in trade in credit. I think the Daytona was the best trade as I think their value will come down in the next year which was echoed by the AD I traded in with. I went from having 7 watches to only having 3 pieces I absolutely love, in particular my 5170G.

For a SS 5167, you should be able to get a better deal IMHO. It's a nice watch, don't get me wrong.

As much as I am a 5167 fan, if you are suggesting a straight trade for the Daytona and the DJ; then that is a horrible deal. You should be able to sell the Daytona and jump even into a 5167 on rubber , given market prices. A few more $$$ for the bracelet which I would recommend.

I would ditch the DJ and buy a nice 2nd watch for the beach, and for when the Patek is being serviced.
