Is it on Monday?
And back to work Tuesday?

That’d never work in the lower half of N. America...
We need 3 days to recover - so much so that the Friday after our Thanksgiving eventually became everyone’s day to never show up at work and it is now a virtual holiday.

We had a community dinner last night, which was a lot of fun. Looking forward to American Thanksgiving now!

Don't you worry your pretty little head over Canadians getting enough holidays.

They mastered that a long time ago. Bank holidays, civic holidays, religious holidays, holidays just because holidays, and if that doesn't work, hockey holidays, and sick days, family leave..........

Yeah, pretty much back to work tomorrow. Canads has only 5 'Federal' holidays plus provincial holidays, in BC, amounts to 12. Not all provinces do the same across the country.
The US As of 2012, there were eleven federal holidays in the United States, ten annual holidays and one quadrennial holiday (Inauguration Day...so Canada isn't the only master of getting/having time off with pay.

I think the problem in the US is not all companies let people off for some of the holidays. Today is Columbus day and most people work. Remembrance Day in Canada is Nov 11 and its called Veterans Day here but I think most people work. Companies choose which ones they let people off for.

Much more time paid off in Canada, not even close.

Government employees have the advantage over those who work in the 'private' sector. Here, I can see the difference in traffic on Mondays ..lighter than the rest of the week. - Must be in their contract..
Remembrance Day here in Canada is Stat Holiday nationwide, Paid..."except ON, QC, NS, NL". Why the difference, who knows...
