Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians!

Know there's a few of us on here.
Any big plans for today and tomorrow?
Big dinner today with some friends and family and another tomorrow that I'll be cooking for just us.
Also gonna try to sneak in a round of 18 in the morning before I have to get the bird in the oven.

It's funny. In my business I spend most of my time chatting with customers in the US and 20 years later they're still surprised when I mention it's Thanksgiving weekend. Not sure why ours is so early to be honest but I do appreciate that I get to double dip on my turkey days!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Table is set (we don't usually host this many for a sit down, so forgive the card table chairs )

The fall colors are out. This is my favourite time of the year. Cool nights, crisp fall days and lots of sunshine.

Enjoy everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of us/you Canadians and Columbus Day to you south of this border.
No plans for today, but have been invited for dinner tomorrow next door with our bestest of friends.

Because most cultures have a harvest festival of some sort. And since Canada is farther north, one would assume your harvest festival wouldn't be in the snow.

Just guessing here.

When I was growing up in Canada the snow usually fell and stayed around Halloween.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy thanksgiving to the Canucks! We are also doing it today. Weather is still great here, so off for a nice Sunday drive before we gorge ourselves!

That's about right..
.
A search confirms....
.
"Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, not November–and it’s not about pilgrims.

That’s right: Canadian Thanksgiving falls on the second Monday in October—October 13 this year—the same day as American Columbus Day. American Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November.

Why is that? Probably because Canada is farther north and the harvest comes earlier, so we celebrate it earlier." .
.. and he goes on..

Yes we are and I never implied we were not but I understand your compulsion to clarify.

Oui, tu as raison mais j'ai jamais dit autrement, en tous cas je comprends ton desire de me clarifier.

And to you

It's true my post might have been ambiguous and I am certain that neither of us wished any offence.

Nothing could be more Canadian than two Canadians apologizing to each other, all the best.
