For sale is a pre-owned near mint condition 40mm 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel Rolex Submariner Date “Bluesy”. The U Serial 16613 Sub was originally purchased in 1998 and is accompanied by its original box and papers. The box and papers set consists of an outer box, a green leather wrapped inner box, the original dated warranty paper, a warranty paper holder, and two instruction manuals. The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a unidirectional yellow gold divers bezel that is set with a blue aluminum divers insert. The Sub is mounted on a 93153 Oyster bracelet with brushed steel outer links and polished gold center links. The Oyster bracelet is secured by a safety lock deployant clasp, and contains 10 full size links. In its current configuration the bracelet will comfortably fit a 7.10 inch wrist. The Submariner features a blue dial with applied white gold surround tritium hour markers, polished gold hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The movement used in the 16613 is the Rolex Calibre 3135, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The case is fairly thick with even lugs and crisp chamfers. The bracelet contains minimal stretch and has stood the test of time well, for a 20 plus year old watch with gold center links. The clasp does appear to have been polished in the past, as the cornett is slightly worn down, but is still visible. Overall the Rolex is in near mint condition, and presents beautifully on the wrist.
