New Seiko

Here are a few pics of my new Seiko "Black Monster." I really like this watch and I got a great deal on it. It has a large case and a substantial feel to it. The bracelet and clasp are very sturdy. I have to admit that now that I own my Rolex Sub I look at all other watches in a different way now. However, for the price this is a great watch.

The Seiko 'Monster' series, consisting a few dial colours, is close to achieving cult status.

Maximum value for the $$$.

Mine runs fast as well (not that fast), but I just haven't taken the time to get it adjusted. I compensate - but will eventually get it tweaked.

First bought a Steinhart Ocean 1. Well already had three watches, but put little thought into them.

Next a Rolex Oysterdate, really really sharp looking used one.

Now about to get a Omega Seamaster or Constellation Vintage watch.

But probably around Christmas that Black Monster will be on the list.

A true macho looking watch.

Good grief, I'm getting hooked on fine watches. My wife will be thrilled, I'm sure.

My newish Ocean 1 gains about a minute ten seconds a week. I'm about to have to slowed a bit.

But still doesn't bother me, its my first automatic watch and not winding a watch is new to me.

I got my Seiko regulated twice! At first it is running slow at 5 min end of a work week. That means almost 1 min a day!!

I sent it back to get it regulated. It came back running FAST at 3-4 min/ 5 days.

I got pissed this time and send it in for the 2nd time and now it is running at best 15s/ day.

I am looking forward to getting its 6R15 movement which is reviewed to be much better (3~4s/day)

Pretty plain looking box. Not a lot of fancy packaging. I'll try to post pictures really soon.
