What a day!

Started off with a 6am swim; I strapped on my Apple watch to count my laps but instead of leaving the phone in the car like I normally do, I brought it with me and left it by the poolside so that the watch would buzz if I got a text. Buzz, stop swimming and check, but no luck. Continue swimming. Buzz, stop again, still no luck. Obviously my lap timings today were off the chart terrible.

Got to work at 8:30, kept refreshing the USPS tracker page, ten minutes later I saw a new line "Out for Delivery". For anyone using the USPS website today, my apologies, I must have slowed it down with my finger constantly on the F5 button the entire morning.

Couple more uneventful hours passed; still hoping it would arrive before noon as I had back to back meetings in the afternoon starting 12:30pm (whoever schedules a meeting at 12:30pm??! It's lunch time!!). Finally decided it wasn't going to arrive before lunch so I drove out to grab a bite.

While waiting in line I refreshed the USPS page on my phone and at the same time got a text from Dave (the seller) saying it was finally delivered! I asked for my food to go, hopped back in the car and the producers of Fast and Furious would have given me a contract for their next movie at this point.

Every car in front of me was driven by a grandmother. I hit every stop light on the way back to the office. During the drive back I realize I'd forgotten to bring my watch toolbox - what if I needed to add/remove a link? I had contacted JM on Monday to kick off the insurance application and the watch was insured and ready to be worn immediately, but what if I now had to wait another 6 hours till I got home?

Finally get back in the building, march straight to reception to collect the package and proceeded back to my desk. Opened the package... and voila. Tried the watch on and discovered that Dave and I must have similar sized wrists. I'll replace one of the links with a half-link I have tonight and it should be a perfect fit!

Texted my fiancee, asked her what she was having for lunch, showed her what I was having for lunch (poke bowl)


Finally got out of the meeting, left seller feedback and wrote this post. Bye bye Apple watch!
