Aventurine Watch Dials - Your Views?

I've been looking to add an Aventurine watch dial for a little while now -so the plan is adding one to my New Years Resolution and making it finally happen in 2024- so far I'm considering between Czapek Aventurine - pictures online seem almost black in comparison to the Little Lange Moon Phase which is much bluer plus it has the Moonphase (yes i know no one really uses that- but then again we don't really use our chronographs to time very many things either). Would welcome input, suggestions. Thank you,

thank you - someone posted a comparison shot on another thread between the CW and the Czapek did look remarkably darker - curious if that was just from the lighting - also has anyone seen or have an opinion on the Moser Endeavour Perpetual Moon?

You could try the CW first for less than the sales tax on others to see if the gimmick has lasting value to you.

I would suggest you to check out Ulysse Nardin watches. The dials are awesome and they are great looking watches. Probably most of people here will say no for Ulysse Nardin but I still a big fan of the brand.

In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful watches ever made, so my vote definitely goes to the Lange.

I haven’t really seen that many Aventurine watch dials in the flesh but this one has a lot of charm

Dude….you are not helping! The Lange Guilloche Dials are no doubt magnificent and very tempting ….but 2024 shopping so far is leaning towards the Aventurine

LL1 is a bit small at 36mm no?

This isn't a bad alternative from AP if you want an aventurine QP

36.8mm. I love the dial and for any gender far prefer it to the other LL1 moonphase (even factoring in small price differential). that said, i have small wrists (6.5") and i find it too small for me. the absolute smallest diameter i'd consider for lange is 37.5mm

to the original OP, you have to see these dials in person. i've yet to see a photo that does justice to the lange (i suspect the same would hold with any brand)

Thanks for your suggestion- it’s a bit more than what I’m looking to spend on this next watch-

I posted those pics. That is really how those two compare to one another. The Czapek is darker. Is that better/worse? No, its just different. In the sunlight both look awesome. My wife actually said the CW was purple, and it kind of is. The Czapek is just in a different league than the CW is as a watch. The Lange even moreso. If you like that size Lange and can get one, that is an absolute no brainer to me. The black dialed moonphase L1 is my favorite watch. It is just about perfect.

If color is your issue, order from Lundis Bleu and just pick whatever color you want. https://lundis-bleus.com/en/ref-1120-gallery/ Pricing is pretty nice.

I have tried on the Moser and I am a big Moser fan. That watch wore too big and too thick for me. The moon is a bit static looking as well. I do think the rose gold with Aventurine dial is a great combo on that watch, but that seems to be a harder to find combo in my experience.

There was a great looking aventurine Speedmaster moonphase about ten years ago. At 44 it was too big for me, but man was it good looking.

+1
The offset dials and the moon phase are exactly what I would want with the aventurine.

Lange for me, but you must see them in person to assess. The photos cannot capture the effect. I've seen the UN mentioned above, and it could use a bit of subtlety. The AP QP is nice in person, but quite a bit dearer than the others I believe. Have only seen the Lange thin adventurine dial, not the one considered. It's just right. Haven't seen the Czapek, so probably shouldn't advise.
