Daytona Swap WG -> SS

Wanted some extra cash but couldn't do without a Daytona. Made a trade + cash. Got the watch from OCROLEXGUY here on TRF. Was a pleasure dealing with him, friendly, knowledgeable, easy transaction, not 100% complete yet.

I have seen pics of the WG and SS next to each other but actually holding them next to each other is much different. The WG weighs more, has a certain shine to it, the color slightly different, the WG definitely has more presence, but to me the best part of the WG was the WG Arabic numbers on the face.

Love the SS Daytona black face, never liked the white face much so I knew which I was going to get. Very happy with the watch, and maybe one day ill buy a WG again. Im 26 so I told myself to relax and realize how blessed and lucky I am to even have a Daytona at all.

Old White Gold Daytona

New Stainless Steel Dayton (used but in perfect condition)

here are my other 2 watches as well...

To be honest (even if you noticed differences) I always thought WG looked a bit too much like SS and with the price difference between those two I'd say it's a great move! Enjoy and thanks for sharing!

I have twice switched from SS to WG and back again to SS in the past year.

I loved the weight of the WG Daytona but it scratched so much during dailey wear I began to baby it so I didn't scratch the bezel . So I went back to SS. I can see I am getting the urge again to swap and try a YG one next.

These will all be considered classics one day. With the introduction of the new Ceramic Rose Gold Daytona, it has become apparent that the all steels and steel and golds will soon have these new bezels and new dial options. Hang on to these watches boys, they will be absolete in the rotations to come.

Nice way to monetize part of the WG's value and still have a Daytona...brilliant.
