114270 vs. 116234 shot.

I couldn't find any thread comparing these two cases here or via an image search, so thought it would be worth noting, even for the aspiring 36 OP guys.

The DJ does wear a big larger and when side-by-side you might think you made the wrong choice in procuring a 114270, until you strap her on.

It's a strange phenomenon but they wear similarly. I think it's that the less-beefy lugs of the 36mm explorer gives the illusion of a longer lug-to-lug size vs. its stout cousins. Those who covet the 114270 already know but for those skeptical, fear not:

Thank you for the pictures.

I been looking for a while for a comparison.

I would have thought the newer wider lug 36mm Datejust might seem significantly larger than the older lug 36mm Ex1. I guess not. Per you pictures they look almost the same size or wear similar.

Thanks again

Any time.

The newer case does wear slightly bigger but they’re both great.

Thanks for posting as I have the 114270 and am considering adding the 116234.

Question: Can you put the Explorer’s oyster bracelet on the DJ?

I have an opp to purchase the DJ on either the jubilee or oyster (I prefer the oyster) but the jubilee is $1k cheaper so figured if the bracelets are compatible might as well just get the jubilee for cheaper and swap whenever I’d like. Thx in advance.
