It has been polished. But it's a nice case IMO, chamfers still visible, lug holes pretty flat.

It has been but I think it is a pretty old polish job. I agree with above that its a nice looking case.

What signs lead you to believe it's polished? Not questioning but just want to learn - I always find it so tough to tell with pieces that still have a pretty nice chamfer so would love to learn more about the factors you look at.

Need better photos but I think it has only been polished by time, not by a wheel.

As @linesiders noted, the edges between facets can be softened gradually by wear, I just had a feeling that the edges of the chamfers are more uniformly rounded than usually occurs by wear alone. It's just an opinion. As I mentioned, the lug holes look good and the chamfers are prominent, so any polishing that was done was obviously not aggressive. Aside from sharp edges and lug holes, I also like to look at the appearance of fine scratches. After polishing, fine scratches usually don't disappear entirely, but they take on a distinctive softer appearance. Frankly, I don't get too focused on whether a watch is polished or unpolished since it's often impossible to know definitively. I prefer to think about whether I like the case. And as I said, I think the OP case is nice.

Ask and your shall receive. The dial is great, some natural greenish patina & stains on the markers but honest and genuine. Some like it rough ;)
