Rolex V Tudor

At this risk of being thrown off this forum I wish to record some observations.
I own 3 Rolex watches and 7 Tudor watches. None of my Tudors keeps any where reasonable time accuracy, but, the Roles do, the Sub16610 lv on my wrist now loses 2 secs a week, the best I can get out of a Tudor is 30 secs a day slow. My point is, we are told that Rolex owns Tudor etc, yet they are nowhere as accurate as any Rolex.

To be fair, you are comparing to arguably one of the most tried and true caliber 3135 which is renowned for their accuracy.

Interesting - which Tudor models do you have? My BB58 keeps excellent time, certainly in line with my 214270 Rolex Explorer MK2.

Pay someone to regulate your Tudors.

What Tudors do you have? I have a 9-yr-old Black Bay and a 7-yr-old Ranger and they both run a steady +4 secs a day, both with ETA movements, and have never been serviced. Yours likely just need regulating unless they are due a service. Plenty of Tudors out there keeping better time than plenty of Rolexes.

I have absolutely zero Tudor model that interests me. Even their marketing misses my internet. Can’t tell you why, but somehow the design of their watches is super displeasing to me. It doesn’t help that I find the logo odd. Only one that ever seemed nice was the LHD.

Rolex V Tudor

Hmmm you must have terrible luck with Tudor or I call baloney.

I check deviation on all my watches annually.

I own a Black Bay blue ETA (2824-2)- hasn’t changed its deviation since I bought in 2018. Maintains +/- 2 seconds

Also a Tudor North Flag (MT 5621) - on the dot since purchase

A Tudor Big Block (Valjoux 7750) - has been +/- 5seconds

A Tudor Black Bay 58 LN (MT 5402) - on the dot since purchase just like the North Flag.

My Rolex have similar performance.

This thread reeks of Tudor hate more than anything.

Also. Rolex does not own Tudor. Both are owned by the Hans Wilsdorf foundation.

Hmmmmm... I have to ask... Is this a troll post? LOL!

You own 7 Tudors and the best you get is 30 seconds slow a day? The more modern Tudors, which have a in house movement, are COSC certified +4 / -6 seconds a day.

Why did you buy 7 if your experience has been so horrible?

My Pelagos has lost 2 seconds in 1.5 months and my BB GMT loses a little under 2 seconds a day.

If I were you, I would take all of my Tudors in for a check up. Something is definitely not right.

Best of luck to you and sorry you didn't have a better experience.

I assume you mean 30 seconds a week, and not 30 seconds a day?

Why would you be "thrown off the forum"?

What models? How old? Still covered under warranty? Take them into an AD for service. Should not be a big deal at all.

------------

This post feels like a Troll. "Thrown off forum". You keep buying time pieces that dont work? 7 to be specific? Have you contacted an AD for warranty service?

Strange post.........also does not ask for advice on how to resolve no provides any other context.

I’ve had ETA and in-house Tudors and they kept accurate time. The in-house movements kept amazing time, I was more than impressed.

Impressed with my new Tudor BB. Less than -1 second per day. Quality is great. Likely buying at least one more.

No Tudor in house calibres do -2/+4 spd which is better than chronometer certification. My BB58 2 seconds fast per day and my BB Ceramic runs 1 second fast.

Correct - and that is after casing.

Funny enough I had 7 Tudors so far and none has been outside of -2/+4 spd

Like any movement no matter the brand or price, accuracy is only as good as what the movement has been regulated too, that matches the owners wearing habits. And most all Tudor movements could match any Rolex when properly serviced and regulated correctly. Even some Chinese made movements like the Seagull ST19 after careful regulation matched average +2 seconds a day cost of movement around $60.

There are many factors that influence accuracy and unless you are comparing apples with apples (that is movements of the precise same age ex-factory, and/or same age ex-refurbishment) then such comparisons are meaningless.
It’s like motorcycle comparisons for horsepower, cams and carbs/EFI kits. Way too many variables to consider sensibly.

What he said.
Op post reeks of troll I've had my ETA black bay and it has far better timekeeping than any of those figures the OP mentioned.
I think if one wants even tighter timekeeping and I'm glad my life isn't so regimented then a mechanical watch and it's engineering eccentricities might not be for him.

My wife wears her S&G Tudor Chrono on Bund and the time at the end of the week is spot on as at the beginning of the week. I hate to doubt anyone’s story OP but……

My Tudor Chrono keeps about -0.5spd, my Milgauss is +2spd. What the hell did you do to your Tudors that they're +30spd?

My Tudor watches running on Sellita and in-house movements (new ones < 2 years old) tend to run a bit fast, but with an accuracy still lower than +2 s a day.

My rolexes accuracy are -2 +2.

Most importantly, watches from both brands are consistent in their inaccuracy, i.e. they are precise.
