I'll be the party pooper; I personally think you should get neither since you already have iterations of both. Take that money and mojo and try/add something different for diversity.

Neither would be my suggestion too. You’ve got 2 great divers that are similar to the SD43 and Sub ND do branch out and get something different.
That said maybe you’ve already got plenty of diversity or you may prefer to focus on collecting dive watches!? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m torn here. I love the SD43 and think it superior to the Sub. But you have the SD4K which is also a great watch. As you have the Cermit with a date, a SeaDweller already, I think I’d opt for the Sub, it not having a date gives your collection some variety.

I have a Sub, SD43 and DSSD and I’d take the SD43 any day. Most beautiful Diver from Rolex.

I prefer the SD43. It feels more special, looks better to me for a sports watch, has more wrist presence, it stands out.

The Sub hands down for wearability. I prefer smaller and lighter watches.

I’ve owned both and the Submariner better suits my wrist.
The SD 43 is a beautiful reference, but I couldn’t wait to get that thing off my wrist by then end of the day. I too succumbed to the wrist ache from the caseback design |

SD43 is my daily wearer, no problem at all, feel as comfortable as my hulk and daytona. did you have the diver extension removed?

I fully recognize that for many it wears beautifully but for me, the small (relative to the size of the watch) and depth of the caseback made it hurt my boney, 7" wrist. I'm not knocking the reference, its a beauty and I'd still own it today if it were not for this issue. Sent from my SM-G960W using Tapatalk |

SD43 wears very differently than the 40mm cousins…you just instantly feel more bad ass…

Important, regardless of the size, the bezel marking and the red writing, the 116600 and 126600 have a dark brown dial unlike the Sub 126610 and 124060 which have a black lacquer as the dial, so there is a greater depth and a more readable sharpness on the sub especially if it has anti-reflective

Submariner - ND is the most iconic watch in the lineup.
SD is just too bulky and just doesn't check the boxes as an everyday wear the way the Sub does. Sub has great wrist presence without carrying a dumbbell on your wrist. Also, having a pressure release valve on a watch when you don't dive seems a bit much for me. |

I picked up the SD43 yesterday, that thing is robust and a solid watch. love the gridlock, and currently making adjustments to find ideal setting.

I love 43mm sea dweller but had the same issue as Brian with my 7.5 inch wrist.

SD4k - 116600
Personally, if you're in the market for a SD or a Sub, then I would go for the 116600. Google it. By far the best iteration.
